WWE will not be forcing banter within the new commentary teams that were announced this week for RAW, SmackDown and NXT.

It was confirmed by Variety that the new teams will see Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick call the action on RAW, with Michael Cole and Wade Barrett on SmackDown.

Vic Joseph and Booker T will be working together on WWE NXT moving forward.

Sean Ross Sapp reports that WWE is not trying to “force chemistry” with the new teams, as the company expects them to naturally work well together.

WWE also considered bringing in commentators from outside of the company, before deciding to use names already under contract.

As far as Pat McAfee is concerned, WWE sources told Fightful that he can return “whenever he is available and wants to.” He is said to be very well-liked among his peers and management.

I don't think you can ever "force chemistry". Taz & Cole or JR & Lawler were fairly organic, built over time. So whilst you cannot force it, you cannot rush it also.

If I was WWE, I'd be checking on Ian Riccaboni's contract situation. Best announcer in American wrestling right now.

If you're so worried about chemistry, why didn't you bring Vic and Barrett up together?
