Andrade’s first match post-WWE has been announced for July.
Andrade confirmed on Instagram this morning that he would be facing Alberto El Patron in July for Nacion Lucha Libre in McAllen, Texas. Patron had also said in an interview with Super Luchas on April 27 that a match between the two would happen on July 31.
The article in Super Luchas also listed Kalisto, Primo, Epico, Cinta de Oro (Sin Cara), Hijo de Dos Caras, Hijo de Dr. Wagner, Blue Demon Jr., and Sexy Dulce as appearing on the card.
Since being released by WWE earlier this year, Andrade has teased returning to wrestling, showing a picture of himself signing a contract on Instagram. Unlike other releases, he does not have a 90-day no compete clause.
El Patron is currently scheduled to stand trial on May 3 on charges of of aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault following an incident in May of 2020. He has not wrestled for any major wrestling promotion since.

Dude has a chance to make a big impact wherever he wants to debut, he had no 90-day clause, instead goes for a match with a domestic abuser in a no name promotion. Idiot.

The fact that it's a no-name promotion makes me suspect that the promoter offered him A LOT of money. That's normally how promotions we've never heard of suddenly pop up with big-name talent.
Cagematch.net Lists a Nacion Lucha Libre in Mexico as owned by Alberto, but the closest they have ever come to running in the US is one show in Monterrey, so other than the Alberto connection, there isn't really any reason to suspect that it's them (although the Alberto connection is, admittedly, a rather solid reason to make that assumption).

Alberto is trying to make some kind of comeback, he's doing a "tell all" interview and shit, he's using his promotion because it's the only one that would book him now, but I think he's hoping people either ignore or forget what his legal history is. He knows people may be interested in seeing Andrade
It's just bad PR for Andrade to do this, so yes, I'm expecting A LOT of money

There are actually A LOT of names on that card (Kalisto's post-WWE debut, too, plus Blue Demon Jr. and Wagner Jr.)

not surprised, I don't think that Patron's issues are well known in Mexico, nor that many old school Mexican wrestlers would even care unfortunately
