Following WWE's purchase of EVOLVE earlier this year, more EVOLVE wrestlers have signed with WWE.

PWInsider reported today that EVOLVE Champion Josh Briggs, Brandi Lauren, Curt Stallion, and referee Jake Clemons have signed with WWE. That's in addition to Leon Ruff and Anthony Greene signing with the company. Ruff, who did work as an extra for WWE prior to being signed, was highlighted in a video on the WWE Performance Center's YouTube channel last month.

Lauren has also recently appeared as an extra for WWE, including being a Raw Underground competitor and being part of Damian Priest's celebration after winning the NXT North American Championship at TakeOver XXX.

It was officially confirmed in July that WWE had purchased EVOLVE. Content from EVOLVE and WWE-affiliated independent promotions PROGRESS Wrestling, ICW, and wXw began being added to the WWE Network this month, including the Best of Drew McIntyre in EVOLVE, the best of Keith Lee in EVOLVE, and EVOLVE 125 from 2019 being uploaded.

Of all of the allegations, though I think that one was the most minor (that Briggs and his wife kept asking this woman for a threesome even after she said no), and the theory accused (who also accused Briggs later) seems to be the least credible of the bunch, just based on her claim about her age and also saying on her Twitter that she was in nursing school. It's bad behavior and it's being a dick, but it's not a crime, and we don't know how long ago it was. I'm open to people changing, and if Briggs and his wife didn't change, I can't imagine it wouldn't have come out during #SpeakingOut.

TVD is a different issue, though.

The way this is going, I feel like they're going to reveal all the sex pests and Jerry Lawler as members of Retribution.

I thought the Theory one was that regardless of her real age, she had told Theory she was underage and he still kept going. There's something bad enough there that WWE didn't feel confident to return him to where he had left off in the main roster.

So she said, but I don't think she ever provided any proof of this (though I could be wrong). And considering that her other "proof" against Theory was an innocuous picture that she claimed showed he was pulling her closer than she wanted to be but it can't possibly show that because it's a picture and not a video, and the whole "nursing school" thing, she doesn't seem credible.

You say "something bad enough that they didn't feel confident to return him to where he had left off," but I think that it's just that there was nothing for him to do on the main roster and Hunter thought he'd be useful in NXT. Remember that he was only called up to fill a hole caused by a series of two or three injuries, and he wouldn't be the first person brought back down to NXT when the main roster had nothing for them (Maverick, Dain, Wolfe, Breeze, Fandango, Emma, etc.)
