BRM Reviews the 11/14/2019 NXT UK (OHNO VS. BATE!)

KAY LEE RAY vs. XIA BROOKSIDE- 5.5/10
They were clearly holding back for a rematch, but I was expecting them to do something here that actually set up that rematch.
PIPER NIVEN VIDEO PACKAGE, PART 2- more excellent babyface stuff
EL LIGERO vs. TRAVIS BANKS- 6.5/10
They had a solid match trying to tell the story of how even they are. Banks won when unbeknownst to both him and the referee, Joseph Conners rammed El Ligero into the post. Conners then attacked Banks after the match as well. He then cut a promo whining about not being on TakeOver even though he has been here for a long time. He’s been whining about this crap since the NXT UK show started over a year ago and it has never gone anywhere. I just don’t care anymore.
RIDGE HOLLAND VIDEO PACKAGE- pointless and uninformative. He just said “get ready, NXT UK; I’ll be seeing ya.”
WILLIAM REGAL IS HANGING OUT WITH JOHNNY SAINT AT THE NEXT UK PERFORMANCE CENTER! That is sooo cool!
Also, Sid Scala was there, presumably in case either one of them wants any coffee or water or tea or whatever. A cameraman asks Regal why he is here. Regal jokes that he is here to poach some talent. I’m kind of hoping he does wind up bringing someone back with him. Alexander Wolfe came up and politely asked for a match against Ilja Dragunov as soon as possible. Johnny Saint books the match for next week. The way they always have Sid Scala whisper into Johnny Saint’s ear and then speak for him makes me worried that Johnny Saint is not in good shape.
KASSIUS OHNO vs. TYLER BATE- 8.75/10
Well… f*ck. That was pretty damn epic.
A great episode of NXT in the ring, and with a great Piper Niven video package as well.
