Marty Scurll appeared at tonight’s NWA Into the Fire PPV.

He appeared at the end of the show, confronting NWA World champion Nick Aldis after he successfully defended the title against James Storm in a 2 out of 3 falls match. The two had a staredown as the show ended.

The feed came back on a few seconds later as Marty Scurll headed to David Marquez and was about to cut a promo when the feed ended for good. It is likely whatever interview Scurll cut tonight will be on a future episode of NWA Power.

Scurll's contract with Ring of Honor expired on November 30 and is currently a free agent. It’s not currently clear if he intends to re-sign with the promotion, but did appear at their Final Battle event last night, losing in a tag team match with Flip Gordon against Flamita and Bandido.

Scurll has appeared for the NWA before, wrestling Aldis for the NWA World title at the NWA Crockett Cup back in April.

I assume this is a short-term thing to let himself do something he wants to do while giving him time to negotiate with WWE and AEW to fugure out what he wants to do in the long term (read as: Use WWE's offer to get a bit more money out of AEW) .

yeah, pretty much, just something to do for a while, he can do the tapings in like less than a week anyway. Only real issue is if he were to sign with WWE, he'd probably had to miss out the next NWA PPV. With AEW, I don't think they'd care if he works with the NWA, I'm guessing Aldis and Cody still good friends
