Following a night in which Raw ratings rebounded, SmackDown did not follow suit.
Despite a much-hyped appearance by Goldberg ahead of his match against The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia, SmackDown dropped to 2.016 million viewers on Tuesday, down three percent from last week. There was no major sports competition, with both the NBA and NHL finals having the night off.
SmackDown finished eighth for the night in terms of total cable TV viewers, right in its usual range. It did finish atop the ratings race in the 18-49 demo with a 0.6 rating. With the exception of America's Got Talent on NBC, SmackDown actually topped everything on TV in that demo, including the major networks.
Year-over-year, SmackDown was only down six percent, the third straight week that drop has been in the single digits. The episode retained the usual 84 percent of Raw's audience from the night before.
