The full card has been revealed for NJPW’s Dominion event, which takes place this Sunday.

With his Best of the Super Juniors tournament win, it has been officially confirmed that Will Ospreay will challenge Dragon Lee for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. The Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) will also make their return on the show, defending the IWGP Tag Team titles against familiar foes EVIL and SANADA.

The undercard features a mixture of tag and singles bouts. New IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley will remain in Japan, taking on Shota Umino in a non-title match. Shingo Takagi, who was the runner-up in this year’s BOSJ tournament, will face Satoshi Kojima.

The feud between Jushin Thunder Liger and Minoru Suzuki will also continue, as they will be in another tag team match.

Here is the full card for Sunday morning’s Dominion event, which takes place at Osaka-jo Hall:

IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada defending against Chris Jericho
IWGP Intercontinental Champion Kota Ibushi defending against Tetsuya Naito
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Dragon Lee defending against Will Ospreay
IWGP Tag Team Champions Guerillas of Destiny defending against EVIL & SANADA
NEVER Openweight Champion Taichi defending against Tomohiro Ishii

Liger and Suzuki have already been in a million tag matches! Just book the singles match here and let RevPro have their f*cking champion for a show (yes, RevPro has a show scheduled for June 9th).

As for Moxley vs. Umino... WHY?! What a f*cking waste. It's you second biggest show of the year! It would have been much better to have Moxley vs. Juice at BOSJ finals go to a quick DQ with a crazy post-match brawl, then do the title change here in a no DQs match.

debuting Moxley with a DQ would piss off a lot of people. It's a weak match, but it can just be a good showing for Moxley, and you can have your post match brawl here instead.

The point of the post-match brawl is to hopefully alleviate people getting pissed off due to the DQ, so there is no reason to have one after the Umino match. I think that between still giving people a full-length fight (even if the match part ends in a quick DQ) and then pretty much immediately announcing a rematch in a no DQs match for the title at a show four days away, people wouldn't be too upset.
DQs should only upset people if they're happening too often or if they are clearly being done to artificially stretch a storyline out rather than being a clear and obvious step in the story (which announcing the rematch right away will make clear). In a company that never does DQs, having a dude who has threatened to f*cking stab someone show up and go wild to the point where there is a DQ (or he drives Juice to that point and we get a double DQ) would stand out as being different, not some disappointing WWE-style "DQ because we didn't want to beat either guy."

people wouldn't be TOO upset, against no one being upset at all and being happy for a MOTYC that got a lot of time on a show that where it got a chance to shine. Moxley vs Umino is a perfectly fine squash match for Dominion

It's f*cking DOMINION. You shouldn't have any squash matches, especially with one of your champions! MAYBE you could argue that it'd be okay to have a squash if it's someone debuting, but Moxley doesn't need a squash match. The point of a squash match is to show us that someone is a force to be reckoned with. We already know Moxley is a force to be reckoned with because he's a freakin' champion.

And I'm pretty sure it's not going to be an actual squash match because New Japan doesn't do those because the point of young-boy matches is for them to get their reps in, so getting squashed doesn't make sense. It's going to go at least seven minutes.

As well it should. It wish they would undercard singles like this more often.
