There will be a new voice on the 205 Live commentary team for at least the next several weeks.

WWE has announced that Aiden English will be joining 205 Live "as a guest commentator through WrestleMania season." He'll be starting in the role tonight and will be calling the show alongside Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph. Percy Watson had been on commentary with McGuinness and Joseph.

It was noted that English will still be wrestling on SmackDown despite his new role.

“We wanted to do something special for WrestleMania season, and Royal Rumble week kicks off the Road to WrestleMania,” Michael Cole told WWE.com. “We’ve been working with Aiden at the WWE Performance Center to see if he has the chops, and it turns out he’s pretty good."

205 Live has returned to airing live after SmackDown on Tuesdays. Kalisto vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Hideo Itami is set for tonight's episode, which is the go-home show for the Royal Rumble. Buddy Murphy will defend his Cruiserweight Championship against Kalisto, Tozawa, and Itami in a fatal four-way match at Sunday's pay-per-view.

I do not like this. Percy has been doing a fine job, and while 205 Live is not exactly the deep end of the pool, it's a lot deeper than something like Main Event or Superstars, which make a lot of sense as a place to start out.

Then again, maybe this means Percy will be replacing Saxton on Smackdown?

if you ask me, this is WWE 'using' the talent that is not used and unhappy as rumored, but don't actually care for them to have them on the shows. Percy can stick to NXT (is he still in NXT?), Aiden can do 'something' here. Be afraid, if this sticks, they may remove Nigel too and just have him do NXT UK, same with anyone pulling double duty.
