....Is indirectly responsible for the end of All Japan's Golden Era? When former booker Giant Baba died, Mrs.Baba and Misawa co-booked. Mrs.Baba's plan was to book Johnny Ace as the top guy, while ignoring guys like Kobashi and Misawa, and ignored Misawa's protests. Hence why Misawa was removed from power in 2000, and thusly the mass exodus of All Japan talent occurred. So whenever you pine for the days of All Japan, you can thank "People Power" for ending the good times.

Or, put another way, if you want to thank someone for KENTA and Marufuji getting the chance to become stars, thank Johnny Ace, because neither Ms. Baba nor her husband were very high on their jr. heavyweights.

AJPWs decline was inevitable due to injuries. You start to see it already in 98-99, and then even more so in 02-04 NOAH (which is the guys who would have been on top in All Japan if they hadn't left to form NOAH), and if you really want to pine for the glory days of All Japan, you can just watch 05-09 NOAH. Basically, I find "blaming" Johnny Ace for such a thing to be rather unfair.
