One thing that has always ticked me off since the start of my venture into wrestling is the troll-like people who typically “hate” on the thought of Wrestling. The term “fake and gay” would fit in it, as most ignorant folks would do. My first point is the fact that when you grab a link to a wrestling video usually on YouTube, it ends in a catastrophe of rude comments and flame. Smarks pointing out the fact that wrestling isn’t to a degree real, makes them yell out “WRESTLING’S FAKE! THAT STUFF IS ALL CRAP!” when truthfully, it is all real.
No way could something like a fall through a table from a 20 foot ladder and get up without feeling any pain not seem real. I for one can’t stand such nonsense like that; it stabs me in my side at those stupid, ignorant, parasitical comments.
Just like my signature says, it is impossible to teach someone the differences in it being fake and it being choreographed/scripted. As Cody Rhodes has spoken to me about, if it was all fake, then why wouldn’t someone just take acting classes then learn to wrestle and be precautious in the ring. People say Scripted is just sugarcoating Fake, but it isn’t.
The way people use Fake is as if the entire thing is. If so, then how come Sid Vicious broke his ankle? I’m guessing that was fake as well! I’m sorry if I am coming off as an edgy person with this topic but it deepens me to the soul that people have the nerve to call stuff that they train long and hard for, to be turned into a worthless piece of crap. I love Wrestling, I am addicted to it, the best in the drug right there.

Thanks. I just had to rant this morning, I had stayed up all night and was very loopy so I couldn't tell if it was just mindless rambling or not. Seems okay though.

Well You know, a wrestler would say " If you think it's fake, you think you can do it? Try It" Those who have never tried it can't label it fake

As someone who actually trained & attempted to be a wrestler, let me throw you through a table & then tell me its fake... after you get up, which will take a bit after your first table...LOL

I like to point people to clips like this when they start dropping the Wrestling "F-Bomb"...
Somewhere in that GIF library of mine I've got the clip of where Joey Mercury got his face removed by a ladder, that's a good one too...

Thanks guys for the great responses! Isn't Shultz/Stossel footage where he calls it fake and the dude gets hit in the noggin?
Also, Bob-O, that's great! I should go find Edge spearing Hardy from the ladder ///or Hardy swantoning onto Punk///or Hardy leapfrogging over the ladder at Wrestlemania 25 and landing flat on his ass. TELL ME that doesn't hurt, and then do it!

not hit; slapped (Shultz would say "Bitch Slapped")

That's a good theory. I personally think he WAS in character. The way he was speaking to Stossel sounds so much different then a actual interview.

Mr. Birnberg, you my friend, are a genius! Being an indy wrestler (even only for about a year), I could look into your eyes and honestly tell you that wrestling is not entirely fake and I hate the loopy a__h____ that say it is. I've experienced the pain that these atheletes go through on a weekly (if not daily) basis. Wrestling is an addiction and I am proud to say that I am 400% addicted for life. Wrestling is my world and without it, I would surely go completely insane.
And don't feel bad about the ranting. We all need to rant at some point. Wrestling is not just a hobby, but one of my true loves...I can't live without it...

You are a prime example of people I need to know in real life. All the MMA buffs up here and you never see a wrestling fan that will speak up on it's legitimacy. Thank you, The Apocalypse.
