Braun Strowman underwent surgery following the attack by Roman Reigns last Monday on Raw, WWE.com can now confirm.

Immediately after the assault on Strowman’s injured shoulder and elbow by the former WWE Champion, The Monster Among Men left Raw in an ambulance and was able to get back to the United States for an evaluation this past Wednesday. Following the medical consultation, Strowman underwent surgery on Thursday in Birmingham, Ala. with Dr. Jeffrey Dugas. During the procedure, it was revealed, among his other injuries, that Strowman's elbow had been shattered, and he is expected to miss up to six months of action as a result.

I feel like the whole thing really hurts his push and character and build as well...they showed him in the freegin' hospital gown ! Lol I get it's standard protocol, but why even do this in the first place?

agree. but all his build is to make Roman and Lesnar stronger, so if you sell it as this is the result of fighting between him and Reigns, it can still work for what they wanted all along

I do hope the six months is a work. I had thought that Dave had said six weeks when he first mentioned it. I'm pretty sure that they have occasionally worked Cena's recovery times, so maybe they'll do the same for Braun?

Dave said it's a work and he should be back for Summer Slam (hence why they were very careful to say "up to six months").

Maybe they didn't want him to completely run over all those other dudes just yet but couldn't have him lose at Extreme Rules....

i think this is the show that Dave kept thinking was going to be an ambulance match or stretcher match

Strowman probably would have made it a six man match instead of this unusual five guys fighting actually.
