News was out last weeks that Pentagon jr (along with Daga and Garza Jr) had left AAA. Fenix had left AAA some months ago. In retaliation, AAA apparently has filed to register the names Penta 0M and Fenix El Rey, both names announced by the luchadors for their indie bookings. AAA initially had the rights for Pentagon Jr, Pentagon Dark, and Fenix. Daga and Garza Jr were using the names before AAA, so AAA can't register those.



i honestly think this could be a blessing in disguise, both Penta 0M and Fenix El Rey were terrible names. Hopefully they can come up with something much better. Pentagon Black and Phenix, idk.
What i wonder is if AAA can register the 'look' of the masks, is that something they can register?

Mexican law might be different, but in the US it might well fall under trade dress.
