Source: WORKenny Omega made his announcement via Wrestling Observer Report interview that he will be staying with NJPW, or so he plans. He hasn't signed, but he is flying to Japan mid february to re-negotiate his contract. He believes that he still has many things to accomplish in NJPW, many places to grow for him and Japan, and is looking to "at least" be there one more year. He mentioned that WWE is full of talent and is not really lacking talent and his priority is to be a plus to wrestling.

There's a part where he mentions he had plans that he wanted to push with NJPW that his road to WK was to take on each guy from CHAOS, putting the briefcase on the line and work his way up to the main boss Okada

He does realize that 1) he's the heel and 2) it would make no sense for him to do this because he already has the title shot

well, the final boss thing is kinda like i saw it because I was on his side, but he said it more like 'taking them out' one by one, more like a hit list

If you're going to do that, you've got to have Omega really taking them out one-by-one so that Okada is avenging his buddies. The problem is that with the way New Japan does things (like wanting to book everyone on every show/tour, even if their presence only hurts the card), and the way the Japanese do kayfabe, there is no way New Japan would ever do something like that. It's a great story, but I don't think it's one that New Japan (or All Japan or NOAH) would ever be willing to tell.
