Why? They've got the Gabe/Sal connection. Between Gabe and Sal they run the three top dogs of WWN, plus Sal apparently helps book SHINE, so that's a fourth. WWE has an interest in FloSlam essentially becoming the "pre-NXT WWE Network."
My bet is that helping out choice British promoters like they have with OTT and that other one with Balor that one time (I think it was ICW?) and the rumors about them and Progress (hence why we've got Progress working with Evolve while RevPro is working with ROH/New Japan), I can see them doing things like this in exchange for asking promoters to try to steer their guys away from the new World of Sport show.
