Do You Think They Even Realize The Problem With This?

I know that it's just Total Divas, but what the hell are they even thinking with something like this? I thought that the idea of reality TV (much like the idea of pro wrestling) is to do whatever you can to prevent people from finding out that it's a work. So they do this angle on Total Divas where LANA... who doesn't wrestle... supposedly had her finisher stolen by Dana... and the move in question isn't even the finisher Dana uses on TV (which they created more work for themselves having to edit around). They clearly want some sort of crossover audience or they wouldn't be advertising Total Divas on Raw, but stuff like this just rubs it in the face of any wrestling fan who tunes in how completely 100% BS this whole thing is (and if they're willing to lie so blatantly about this, why wouldn't they lie about whatever relationship issues Nikki and Cena are having or whatever?), and any Total Divas viewer who decides to check out Raw will quickly learn that it's all BS, too. And even if they don't cross over and they just happen to be talking with their friend the wrestling fan about how Dana stole Lana's cartwheel splash finisher, doesn't WWE realize that the wrestling fan will have no qualms about spilling the beans to the Total Divas fan about how BS the show is? WWE's lack of understanding of their audience is completely astounding sometimes.
