STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE has suspended Jose Rodriguez (Alberto Del Rio) for 30 days effective tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 18, for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.

Well... thirty days puts him in mid-September, and didn't Meltzr report that Del Rio has an out-clause around that time?

Following Alberto Del Rio’s wellness policy suspension earlier this afternoon, Paige was also suspended for 30 days for violating the policy.
The company's statement: “WWE has suspended Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) for 30 days effective tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 18, for her first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.”
Like with Del Rio, the 30-day suspension is standard for a first violation. WWE has not further commented publicly on either Del Rio or Paige’s suspensions, and it isn’t known what caused either violation.
The timing of their violations is curious, given that Del Rio and Paige have been dating, but it isn't clear if their suspensions are connected. Paige has been out of action recently with injuries that have been covered extensively by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Del Rio and Paige had been sent to different brands in the WWE Draft, and time will tell whether their suspensions will have further affect on their positions within the company

i wouldn't say it was 'let's get in trouble together' and more of a 'let's take a vacation together'

Unless they were partaking in recreational use together and weren't anticipating getting tested.
Seems likely to me they were at a party or something and took something they shouldn't have.

I was just thinking unless both were unhappy with their standpoints ... because have a retrospective glance at them... makes sense to say fuck it.

The more I think about this,the more I think that somebody must have tattled on them. Even more conspiratorially, I don't think it's impossible that they did something together and then ASKED someone to tattle on them (so they can be off the road together. And also so Del Rio can get his affairs in order and set something up for himself once his contract ends).
