Ok, soooo the question I've got for everyone is simple... Will Chris Masters win any singles gold this year, and if so, which title?

I feel, he'll be either IC/US champ by no later than Survivior Series, but I'm thinking around Summerslam. IF, he stays on Smackdown after the draft this year, I feel, especially with his last few pushes, most recently this one, he'll be the new IC champion in no time. If drafted, I think him being on RAW only means US gold even faster. Especially considering now WWE's acknowledging his presence, skill, and rewarding him with a rise on the Power 25, even being above current IC champion Kofi Kingston, and other former heavyweight champions.

He needs to have his feuds on SmackDown before he can win any gold.

Yes, but that'll happen in due time. I think after mania he'll get the move up. I mean, we saw him at the Rumble get a HUGE pop when he locked the masterlock in on Punk. We saw the masterlock Challenge return & dismantle Cody Rhodes. And now, he's squashing Tyler Reks, whom is highly favored by Vinny mac. I think this is the set up to him regaining a top spot.

Big reason why I feel he is, besides the fact he is my favorite wrestler of today's generation of superstars, is for a few reasons... He is best friends with Randy Orton, who is one of the most popular superstars backstage AND to the WWE Universe. He seems to be DESTROYING, Tyler Reks, who Vince absoltely loves & personally takes him around with him on occasion. Notice, the change in commentary they've had for him in his matches. They have talked about his quest for gold, and it seems they're foreshadowing something. Considering how much Vince USED to favor Masters, I think Masters is getting that back after the years. I think at first, they played it cautous with him, to see if he could stay clean, esp after the wellness issues he had before. They didn't want to push him, to have to drop him again. Now that's he's apparently clean, and has stepped up his game to an incredible level, I feel it's only a matter of time.

You make some valid points, but you have to remember how easily all that can change on a dime in WWE.

he's gonna have to step it up some more if his gonna get some gold; he's never come anywhere near the other guys who debuted around his time and he's failed over and over at making a name for himself.

He's just got a lot to overcome and a lot to prove still; almost too much to really breakout this year. I could be wrong, but I don't see it happening....

I disagree because look at how good he did during his 1st run in the WWE, before his whole 'leaner and meaner' thing went on. He was on top of the world almost. One of the top heels during that time. In the WWE of course. I honestly didn't like him much then, and thought he'd be a heavyweight champ very soon based off his pushes.

I think he's proven it. He worked well as a heel because his gimmick fit. He has almost a natural cocky feel to him. And now, he works very good in the ring as a face. Great moveset, gets the fans involved in his matches, and to me, has earned a title. I mean, if you can put the title on brand new randoms, like Swagger, Sheamus, mcIntyre, you can give it to a much more deserving hard working guy who can give us some good, long length matches.

True, because both him AND Reks received minor pushes around Survivor Series & Bragging Rights. But nothing like this one.

let's keep this one thing in perspective: Chris Masters hasn't won a single title in the WWE AT ALL; considering how long he's been in there, it doesn't look like he's moving anywhere, brah....

Let's also remember, that at the time he was dominating in the WWE, people didn't just miraculously sneeze a WWE title in their hands. It wasn't hot potato, and you had to work your way to the title. Now, as the titles seem to go in more credible hands, you have to think he fits that.
