Makabe wins clean in ten minutes, dominating most of the match and winning with a big lariat.
HIROOKI GOTO vs. BAD LUCK FALE-
They wind up in some sort of double count-out.
TOMOHIRO ISHII vs. HIROYOSHI TENZAN (w/Satoshi Kojima)-
Ishii gets a lot of offense in but Tenzan hangs in there, absorbing all of the punishment and always getting back up for more. Tenzen makes his comeback and wins clean via Moonsault in fifteen minutes.
HIROSHI TANAHASHI vs. SANADA-
Sanada wins clean in twenty minutes via submission focusing on the injured shoulder.
NAOMICHI MARUFUJI vs. KAZUCHIKA OKADA (w/Gedo)-
Marufuji wins clean in twenty-five minutes, as we end the night with three progressively bigger upsets.

Sanada picks up a clean win over another top New Japan star.
BAD LUCK FALE(3) vs. NAOMICHI MARUFUJI (2)-
Fale wins clean in fourteen minutes, handing Marufuji another setback after his big win on opening night.
HIROOKI GOTO(1) vs. HIROYOSHI TENZAN(4) (w/Satoshi Kojima)-
Goto fights hard, but Tenzan wins clean via moonsault in fifteen minutes. Tenzan is off to a great start in his quest to win one last G1 before his career is over.

More Makabe smash! Makabe beat Tanahashi at the last show, and tonight he beats the IWGP Heavyweight Champion in twenty minutes.

Tanahashi manages to pick up his first point out of the match, as these two go to a thirty minute time limit draw. The story of the match is all about Tanahashi keeping his injured shoulder away from Goto.
TOMOHIRO ISHII(0) vs. NAOMICHI MARUFUJI(2)-
Ishii finally gets on the board with a win over Marufuji in eighteen minutes
TAMA TONGA(2) vs. KAZUCHIKA OKADA(4) (w/Gedo)-
Okada wins clean with the Rainmaker in six minutes, rebounding from his loss at the last show to dominate the guy who defeated his arch-rival Tanahashi at the previous show.
BAD LUCK FALE(5) vs. SANADA(6)
Fale puts a stop to Sanada’s run, winning clean in fifteen minutes.
TOGI MAKABE(6) vs. HIROYOSHI TENZAN(6) (w/Satoshi Kojima)-
Tonight’s main event is a battle between the two men off to the best starts so far in the tournament… and the result is MORE MAKABE SMASH! Makabe dominates early on. Tenzan makes a comeback but misses the moonsault, and it’s all Makabe from there. He lariats the crap out of Tenzan, making him look like the broken-down old man he has looked like for the past few years. Just to put the exclamation point on it, Makabe officially wins the match by knockout after a HUGE lariat.
G1 CLIMAX 26: DAY 9
NAOMICHI MARUFUJI(2) vs. TAMA TONGA(2)-
Marufuji gets back on the right track with the clean win here in thirteen minutes.
TOMOHIRO ISHII(2) vs. HIROOKI GOTO(2)-
Goto picks up his first proper win of the tournament, defeating Ishii with the GTR in eighteen minutes.
BAD LUCK FALE(7) vs. HIROSHI TANAHASHI(1)-
Fale dominates the match, but Tanahashi manages to pick up his first win by reversing an attempted Bad Luck Fall into a backslide.
TOGI MAKABE(8) vs. SANADA(6)-
Sanada is finally able to put a stop to Makabe’s perfect record, but he needs to resort to cheating and aid from his Ingobernables stablemates to do so.
HIROYOSHI TENZAN(6) (w/Satoshi Kojima) vs. KAZUCHIKA OKADA(6) (w/Gedo)-
Okada wins clean in fifteen minutes, moving into a tie with Makabe and Sanada on top of the leader-board and handing Tenzan his second straight loss.
G1 CLIMAX 26: DAY 11
HIROOKI GOTO(4) vs. TAMA TONGA(2)-
Goto picks up another win with the GTR.
TOMOHIRO ISHII(2) vs. HIROSHI TANAHASHI(3)-
They have a very hard-fought match, with Tanahashi picking up the win clean in the middle of the ring after a Slingblade and a High Fly Flow in twenty-five minutes.
NAOMICHI MARUFUJI(4) vs. HIROYOSHI TENZAN(6) (w/Satoshi Kojima)-
Marufuji picks up another win. Tenzan started hot, but seems to have hit a wall, as he is now down to having an even record, and is stuck in the middle of the pack and seems to be heading downwards.
TOGI MAKABE(8) vs. BAD LUCK FALE(7)-
Fale wins the hoss-fight via Bad Luck Fall, handing Makabe his first clean loss of the tournament (and second loss overall).
SANADA(8) vs. KAZUCHIKA OKADA(8) (w/Gedo)-
The Ingobernables involve themselves in the match but CHAOS fights them off. Okada eventually wins clean in twenty minutes with the Rainmaker.

In the battle of the bottom, Tonga picks up the upset victory via roll-up.

Marufuji continues his turn-around with a win while Makabe continues his unfortunate turnaround with another loss.

Goto also continues his turnaround with another win.

Okada picks up the clean win in a match to determine who will end the night on top of the leader-board.

Goto started off without any wins in the first four days, but is now on a three-day winning streak. Makabe, on the other hand, won his first four matches but is now on a three-day losing streak. Those streaks continue as Goto picks up the win.

The Ingobernables try to interfere but they are fought off by not only Kojima, but also his NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship partners Matt Sydal and Ricochet. Tenzan gets the win, keeping his hopes alive and crushing those of Goto.

Okada needs a win in order to win the tournament. He aggressively goes after Tanahashi the whole match. Despite being injured and banged up, Tanahashi manages to hold out for a draw, meaning that HIROYOSHI TENZAN WINS BLOCK A!
