It's official, Cabana vs Lethal for the title is the main event of Global Wars

Which completely flies in the face of the stip from the Aries-Cabana title match at Reverse The Curse that stipulated that Cabana could never challenge for the title again in Chicago.

I just checked the website. It said that as part of the negotiations for Cabana to return, Cabana wanted that stip overturned and Nigel said okay. I don't like that at all. Cabana is a babyface and thus should be a man of his word.

Oh. Goody. Why couldn't they have just given us Liger vs. Daniels?

So? That doesn't mean you have to feature him. Especially not on a freakin' PPV.

that's the whole reason Cena was champion for 10 yrs, having him in a tag match doesn't hurt that much

There's a huge difference between a main eventer and a jobber.

Elgin has been announced for these shows.

More importantly, though, they announced Briscoes vs. War Machine for the tag titles for Chicago, which is a shame because with the New Japan guys coming in, there is no way this will get the time it deserves. The only real option (other than doing a lame finish like a count-out on PPV) is to put the belts on the Briscoes and then rebuild War Machine to take the titles back from the Briscoes, which could work, but certainly isn't ideal, and probably wouldn't be the best thing for War Machine. Maybe this would have worked better if they had spent more time (especially on promos) pushing the ideas that The Briscoes are rededicating themselves to tag team wrestling and that War Machine have never beaten the Briscoes and really want to. This match definitely should have been saved for Best in the World.

But not the US shows yes, so I'm guessing they haven't gotten a visa for him.

Moose & Okada vs. Elgin & Tanahashi. This doesn't not feel like a PPV match at all.

Drat. I meant that it does not feel like a PPV match. Aside from the world title match and tag title match (which, as I said above, shouldn't be happening here), this doesn't feel like a PPV card at all. It seems like a fine card for one of the regular WOTW/Global Wars shows, but it's not something I really want to pay PPV money to see (I probably will wind up doing so anyway, but that's because I'm a bit of a sucker), and it doesn't feel at all like the sort of big match-up that should be on PPV.

Maybe this match will be better built in the coming weeks Elgin and Moose have a past, Okada and Tana obviously, it really just needs some promos to make interesting.

Fish is supposedly challenging for the tv title too, so at least all three title matches should be good
