Apparently after the PPV taping went off the air, they taped a match where Matt Hardy won the world title from EC III in a double-turn, with Matt & Brodus now being a heel pairing while Ethan is a babyface.


1. A huge waste of Ethan's first pinfall, and also an eye-rolling one when you consider just how f*cking sick everyone is of TNA's overbooking.
2. A stupid idea because Matt is a beloved face and well-respected veteran while Ethan is a great heel.

I don't watch TNA anymore, but I read about this.
Fact is, a wrestler gets to a point in their career where they can no longer be a heel. A crowd has spent nearly 20 years appreciating what Matt Hardy has brought to wrestling and respect him hugely for it, having Matt Hardy as a heel world champion does nothing right now for TNA or Matt Hardy's career.

Ethan Carter is the best heel TNA had. Shame. The whole spoiled entitled thing was working for him.

Because it's completely goofy, and instead of getting rid of a bad, pointless character, they are instead giving him a bigger role.

How can you base the entire reputation of a promotion on one damn year?

At this point, that's just a TNA thing. WCW was like that for a year between 99 and 2000 and a good part of 95, but TNA has done this off and on for its entire existence. WCW did it and it killed them but TNA has adopted this and ran with it for a decade and a half.

In an unrelated but also ridiculous spoiler, they brought in Gabi from Tough Enough (who has worked so few matches that she doesn't even have a profile on CageMatch.net). She apparently warned Lashley that " the next time she sees him, she can bring pain or pleasure."

Well... that sounds corny as all hell.

It sounds "nasty" , as in Cleveland Brown "that's nasty! ", is more like it.
