According to Deadline, Lucha Underground will return for a second season on El Rey Network. The article states that they will return to film in Los Angeles in the fourth quarter of 2015 for an "early" 2016 return. Lucha Underground Executive Producer Eric Van Wagenen had announced the news on Twitter earlier in the day.

Awful quiet on here considering how much you guys were looking forward to this.

No. I just think the rest of us got it out of our systems in the season 2 speculation thread after Ultima Lucha. The fact that the show is coming back isn't actually anything to talk about.

So because you haven't been liking mainstream wrestling recently you assume that indy wrestling must be bad now, too? You're missing the entire point of independent wrestling.

Wrong-it is , you, who is indeed-missing the point. Do you not know anything about me at all? I've never given a fuck about independent wrestling-never have and never will. It's just never been something I've wanted to look into. Literally I have never been wanting to.
