TNA's Doomsday Clock

We are 4 week approx before Destination America stops broadcasting Impact Wrestling, it was announced months ago that they didn't have TNA in their schedule past September, and I guess that moment has come.
What are your thoughts, what do you think happens after this? Maybe we're being worked and it's all part of the GFW invasion and the schedule will now read Amped?

I think DA is a crappy channel that has no idea what they are doing. I think their knee-jerk reactions to just one week of numbers for TNA and ROH are utterly silly business (especially in TNA's case, where, from what I understand, it is one of the most watched shows on their network). Same goes for their refusal to promote ROH. Just because you don't have money tied up in the program doesn't mean it doesn't benefit you to increase it's viewership (especially if it is a program you are getting for free!).
From the beginning there seems to have been a complete and total lack of communication between them and TNA (remember those commercials spoiling the show?), and that stems from the fact that DA doesn't understand that they can't promote wrestling like they do with the rest of their hokey shows. You don't promote wrestling like it's a random, out of order episode of your ghost-hunting or contest shows or home real-estate shows. You promote it like (at best) a sporting event or at the very least like a prime-time drama.
Look at that! Who could possibly think Impact was cool or interesting with those lame graphics and generic trailer-fodder phrases like "in-your-face action!"
It's very unfortunate for TNA that these yahoos were the best choice they had (then again, they were the ones who made the bed they now have to lie in). TNA has lived up to their side of the bargain by delivering more viewership than DA ever had before, but DA never seems to have ever had any faith in them.

Remember, DA is a network that mainly targets old folks. I think it's more about these two promotions getting the word out themselves. DA is usually one of those channels thrown into a cable package to beef up the amount of channels. It is silly when impact is one of their top shows, but it also doesn't fit in with ANY of their other programming except ROH.
I'm thinking TNA may be gone in a month since the network spends money on it. ROH or Sinclair just signed a deal with Dish too, so they may leave DA under their own accord.

With ROH it is about getting the world out, but with TNA, this is their main source of income. Without DA, they aren't making any money. I agree with you that TNA is gone, but I don't see ROH leaving DA simply because it helps them get the word out/

i feel that what will end up happening is that with this whole situation, DA will offer TNA to re-negotiate their contract as a 'last help', but they'll lowball them hard. TNA is pretty much screwed for not looking for Option B during this year and will likely take the deal. They have enough shows taped to either fulfill their international deals and finally close, or that they can stay with DA while, hopefully this time, use the time to shop around with the hopes that someone will take the company/show

That seems like a likely scenario.

I just mean that ROH doesn't really need to be on DA so if push comes to shove, they could walk away with no actual loss. However, as you said, TNA needs that network bc they have barely any other options.
