– Before WWE decided to put Rusev with Dolph Ziggler at next month’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, the idea was to do Rusev vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens in a Triple Threat. On a related note, Rusev vs. Ziggler is expected to end up being Rusev and Summer Rae vs. Ziggler and Lana.
– There was also talk of doing The New Day vs. The Prime Time Players in some sort of gimmick match for the WWE Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam but it looks like that was nixed. It appears they will be doing some sort of multi-team match now.
– Regarding John Cena’s role as Steven in Judd Apatow’s “Trainwreck” movie, Vince McMahon reportedly thought Cena was hilarious. Most people in WWE expect Cena to be offered more movie roles now and it’s believed that WWE will continue to work with him to accommodate his schedule.
