Dolph Ziggler was rushed to a nearby medical facility after an attack by Rusev on Raw, WWE.com has learned. The Bulgarian Brute slammed a crutch across Ziggler’s throat, causing trainers to tend to The Showoff and take him out of the arena on a stretcher after the vicious assault.

UPDATE, 7/7/2015: Further evaluation by medical staff revealed that Ziggler is suffering from a severely bruised trachea. He was released from the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being monitored overnight to make sure his windpipe didn't close. He is having issues talking and swallowing and will be out indefinitely, WWE.com has learned.

I read somewhere (likely here) that they wrote him off so he could go do a movie and that he did in fact resign.

Dolph needs to either go heel or just get fired.

No. Just get fired. Going heel will help the company in the short term, but for Dolph himself, he needs to get fired. He shouldn't have resigned. He's the sort of guy that can do the Del Rio/Drew McIntyre thing and go to a place like ROH or TNA and make a difference.

i was just thinking on myself there that at least a heel ziggler would stop annoying me, he's reaching face Sheamus levels of annoying

Am I really the only one who didn't hate babyface Sheamus? He could have been booked better and made to look like more of an ass-kicker and less of a goofy guy, but I still thought he was great.

not sure if the only, but i definitely hate it when faces act like bullys with the heels. I used to love face sheamus when he came out with his 'I'll fight him, fella' against Mark Henry, but then he went full Cena against Del Rio and i hated him

I don't want Ziggler to leave, but at this point, it's probably better for his career to go somewhere else where they will value him...
