Maybe it’s the fact that I actually know that it is a big show, but just Josh’s run-down of the matches and their associated graphics seemed to get me into that “big show” mood.

HANDICAP ELIMINATION IN WHICH LOSING TEAM MUST DISBAND: The Rising (Drew Galloway, Eli Drake, & Micah) vs. The BDC (Low Ki, Hernandez, MVP, & Kenny King)- 3.75/10
Yeah… seeing as how the BDC just got a new member last week, I don’t like the Rising’s chances.
Also… why would Drew take this match if his team is at this big disadvantage? What’s that you say? They hate the BDC so much that forcing them to disband would be worth it? Oh. Thank you for that explanation, Pope. That makes sense. Question answered.
Josh tells us that a lot of the wrestlers want the BDC to lose because they always ruins people’s matches. Well then why didn’t any of these people ever try to help the Rising?
Micah out in about three minutes. He’s been made to look like such a chump that there is no point in keeping him around if the Rising lose. Drake now appears to have injured himself on a dive and is eliminated, meaning either that he is going to come back out and screw Drew on the finish, or that they are going all in on Drew Galloway: big f*cking hero.
Well… I guess not. That was basically a slaughter. The whole thing felt extremely anti-climactic. A dull end to a dull feud.

BDC BACKSTAGE- Ki hurt his shoulder, but the BDC are still happy because they won the feud.

MAGNUS & MICKIE STUFF- awesome.
Magnus & Mickie both cut awesome promos. Then James Storm and Khoya came out and Storm was a good heel until he delved into random sexism. And after hearing this, why would Serena want to team with him?
The end result of this is Mickie telling Storm to find a woman to team with him to face her and Magnus.

30 MINUTE IRON-MAN MATCH TO CROWN NEW TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPION: Austin Aries & Bobby Roode vs. The Wolves- 8.5/10
I loved the way they used the expectation that fans normally have of Iron Man Matches to get some many “false finishes” on the first fall.
Josh Matthews: “we’re knotted up zero to zero as it relates to fall.”
Wow. Apparently whatever diseases Tenay has causes you to phrase things as stupidly as possible is contagious.
Have I mentioned yet how much I mark out every time Aries and Roode hit Candido’s Way?

TNA KNOCKOUTS TITLE MATCH: Taryn Terrell(c) (w/the Dollhouse) vs. Awesome Kong vs. Brooke- 5/10

Jeff doesn’t have his new belt with him. He does say that there is a future for GFW and TNA, and that it will be shocking and he is excited for it.

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kurt Angle(c) vs. Ethan Carter III (w/Tyrus)- 8/10
Josh claimed that no one “on this or any other planet” can match Kurt Angle’s resumé, which I assume is the beginning of the build for Kurt’s upcoming feud against Quarth Zungaloo, current Gorblax Championship Wrestling world heavyweight champion and the most decorated wrestler on all of Gorblax VII.

Yes, the match was awesome, but I REALLY wish they would have let Ethan get the win with his finisher.

A pretty great show from TNA. Easily the best since they've been on DA, and possibly in the last year or two of SPIKE as well.

It stretches credulity when you publicly say "women are weak-minded and easily tricked" and then all of a sudden a woman is willing to team with you. Either that or it means that Serena Deeb really is a kayfabe idiot.
