Austin Aries, whose contract expires Tuesday, lost a loser leaves town match to Rockstar Spud at tonight's TV tapings in Orlando.

If this is an angle, they were working their own employees, as everyone was going with the impression that he joins Magnus and James Storm as those finishing with the company tomorrow.

I feel like Storm, Magnus, and Aries will stay in the fray somehow. They will either sign New contracts by October or work with GFW and probably appear in TNA that way

Magnus might stick around, but I definitely see Storm going to GFW, and Aries either doing the same or working for ROH or for Gabe.

figure Aries would leave as soon as I saw this

if rumors are correct, this whole GFW and TNA stuff may go into an actual program or merger, this jumps are nonsense. I won't believe any of these departures until this whole deal is over and they're actually gone. Aries I do see leaving though, he wasn't a JJ fan.

Also, there is a rumor that Ray ma be going back with TNA now that WWE showed no interest.

I don't buy the "invasion" theory. It seems more like wishful thinking.

i just find it weird that there had not been much talk of contracts expiring until the whole GFW/TNA thing started, and even worse, people are already jumping to GFW, it just seems odd right now

PWInsider is saying that in the cases of Magnus and Storm, they asked to be let out of their contracts because they had signed their contracts under the pretense that TNA would be running house shows so they could make more money, so TNA let them out of their contracts.

Aries is a regular old "my contract has expired" deal.

Dave now seems to be saying that they are doing an invasion of some sort, though it doesn't look like Aries or Magnus will be part of it.
Either way... I honestly couldn't care less. A totally depleted TNA vs. a GFW full of nobodies? (there's no way that any of the New Japan guys will be allowed to be a part of it because of New Japan's deal with ROH) I'll pass.

it's still more exciting and unpredictable than WWE, ROH, or any other promotion sans LU anyway. I'm in

More unpredictable than ROH or New Japan? Maybe (hell... for New Japan I'll even give you probably). But nowhere near as exciting. An invasion where a bunch of guys who I've been watching in TNA for the past few years all get together and invade TNA? So what has changed?

not necessarily, there's no saying that they won't bring in KES, Justin Gabriel, Bucks, Masters, Everett, Jigsaw, Chucky T, Trent, Shelton, or Masters, then we could get the return of guys like Sabin, Dutt, or Rave who have always delivered regardless

There's no way the Bucks, KES, Shelton, Gallows, Sabin, or Anderson will come in due to ROH/New Japan politics (and Trent to, if he is still with New Japan- he's working for Gabe in July), or anyone they might have from CMLL, either.
As for the others... what matches ares there that would be cool? You could have guys like Everett or Jigsaw or Gabriel work the Wolves, but what else is there? Who else does TNA have left?

NJPW and GFW have a working relationship, maybe they allow them to work, we can't tell until it happens.
