McDonald was a staple in both Scotland and Great Britain in the 1980s as well as appearances for Stampede Wrestling in Canada. McDonald also semi-regularly appeared for WCW when the promotion toured Europe.
McDonald also operated a wrestling school in Leeds, England with former WWE Divas champion Paige among his students.

Drew McDonald, a long-time star of the British wrestling scene passed away today following a battle with cancer.
