PROMOS FOR BRISCOES VS. KINGDOM- good (aside from Taven's)

THE BRISCOE BROTHERS vs. THE KINGDOM (w/Maria Kanellis)- no rating, decent segment.
They brawl a lot before the match. When the match finally starts, they go for a few minutes until Bennett nails Jay with the Title of Love for the DQ. Bennett and Taven hold Jay down so Maria can hit him with a chair, but before she does, ODB comes out and makes the save. I will admit that ODB got a pretty big pop from crowd, but still... ODB? Really? Was every other female wrestler of at least passable talent busy that night? Then again, I guess if there is anyone in wrestling who could be a female Briscoe, it's definitely ODB. I would be totally fine with her being their kayfabe cousin or something. I wish she'd lose the tit-slapping mannerism, though. Yes. We can see them. They're big enough that it's hard not to. You don't need to point them out to us.

JIMMY JACOBS PROMO- very good

2015 TOP PROSPECT TOURNAMENT FIRST-ROUND MATCH: Mikey Webb vs. The Beer City Bruiser- 3.75/10
The Beer City Bruiser is an idiotic name. It sounds like one of those one-time-use goofy gimmicks like The Calgary Kid or the Ideal Canadian. The first thing all three announcers (Caprice Coleman joins Kelly and Corino on commentary for the Top Prospect Tournament matches) did when he came out was bury him for being smelly. The crowd chanted "Husky Harris" at him, and I will admit that that was my first thought, too. He's also not very good. Webb didn't look particularly impressive, either. I thought this went on too long, and I was amazed that the crowd was able to still give a crap by the time the false finishes started.

INTERRUPTION IN THE FEED AND PROMO BY A SHADOWY FIGURE- he says “In 2015, dawn shall rise in Ring of Honor and we will assure [something about dawn which I couldn’t understand]. We are the catalysts. We are the agents of change. We are the Knights of the Rising Dawn.” Then they showed a mask that made him look like one of the Hellfire Club's henchman. As I said last week, I'm not liking this whole "interruption in the feed" business. It is just too un-ROH.
And how are they doing this, anyway? ROH airs at different times in different places. And wouldn't ROH management edit off of the website version of the show (which is what I watch)?

HANSON PROMO- OH MY F*CKING G-D! STOP IT WITH THE G-D DAMN GAMBLING REFERENCES FOR THE VEGAS SHOW!


ALBERTO EL PATRON vs. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS- 7.75/10
A great debut in ROH for Alberto. Lethal was an AWESOME heel on commentary.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- good build for Lethal vs. Del Rio, and also sets up for The Addiction vs. the House of Truth, which should be both a fun house match for a regular DVD show and also a good win for The Addiction to help build them up for what I can only assume is an eventually tag team title victory at Supercard of Honor IX


A decent TV show from ROH, but mostly on the strength of the main event.
