STING VIDEO- I don’t like it. Too many lighting effects and random pictures of trees. He’s f*cking STING! All you need is black and white pictures of him wearing facepaint and a trenchcoat and pointing his bat at the camera.
OPENING SEGMENT- great. Hunter and Steph call the fans “bullies” for enjoying their misery. Hunter said we would all be sorry once bad things started happening because no one else is qualified to run the show, and that we would all eventually be begging for them to come back.
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
DRAGON IS BACK!
And he started doing the “Yes!” chant right in Hunter and Steph’s faces. That was awesome. Hunter and Steph walk up the ramp, so Dragon runs in front of them and starts doing the “Yes!” chant again. That was even more awesome!
Dragon says that he is running the show (at least for tonight). He calls out Team Authority. Books Cena & Ziggler vs. Rollins and a team you can choose on the app. The choices are a) Kane & Mark Henry, b) Luke Harper & Mark Henry, or c) Mercury & Noble… which means we will get DOLPH ZIGGLER IN THE RING WITH JAMIE NOBLE!
He also said that Dolph won “singlehandedly,” so I guess he didn’t watch the PPV.
Dragon asks the WWE Universe if he should fire Kane. They say “YES!” But Dragon isn’t a harsh man, and he knows how the economy is, so he gives Kane a new job: “Director of Food and Beverage” (which has to be a PWG reference). He is no longer “Corporate Kane.” He is now “Concessions Kane.” I will admit that this lame joke did actually have me rolling with laughter.
For Rusev, Dragon gives him an ultimatum: Either defend the title in a “company-wide battle royale” or recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Is it bad that I want to see Rusev win this battle royale?
Dragon makes Harper defend the IC Title against Ambrose, and books Mark Henry vs. “the Ryback” so that Ryback can avenge his loss at WrestleMania XXIX.
MARK HENRY vs. RYBACK- DUD!
You see how they waited for Henry to TURN AROUND before Ryback was anywhere near hitting him? THAT is how you do something like this.
Wait… WHAT THE F*CK?! Mark got beat in about twenty seconds, and only got pinned after the meat hook clothesline, rather than taking the Shell Shock.
VINCE, HUNTER & STEPH BACKSTAGE- good.
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Luke Harper(c) vs. Dean Ambrose- 6/10
A fun match with a disappointing DQ finish. I like crazy Ambrose, but I’m not happy about the “we want tables!” chant taking over things. It sucked in TNA and it sucks here. Bray got some revenge on Ambrose for last night.
NEW DAY VIDEO- Big E. was featured in this one. This one was actually good.
LARRY THE CABLE GUY & SANTINO SEGMENT- fun.
Larry came out wearing a Rey Mysterio Jr. mask and no shirt. As the announcers noted, he looked eerily like Vader. These two were entertaining. Then Cody and Goldust came out. Larry’s reaction to this was “what the hell is that?”
WWE TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Miz & Damien Miz-Dow(c) vs. Goldust & Stardust- 5.75/10
Sandow has “stunt titles.” They did an in-set promo that was both fun and further build up the idea that Miz will one day realize that everyone is cheering for Sandow and not him and will get pissed off and turn on him. The match was fun and they are doing a great job of building up the idea that Sandow is doing all of the work, but The Miz is taking credit for it.
“CONCESSION KANE” SEGMENT- I’m calling bullsh*t. If he is the Director of Food and Beverage,” why does he have a manager? Also, in real life, there is no way that this five foot tall woman wouldn’t scared sh*tless of Kane?
RUSEV SEGMENT- the interaction with Sarge was cool and I popped for Swagger making the save but… haven’t we already seen this feud? And wouldn’t it have been a lot better to have them lay Sarge out to get heat? Lana had great facials, but shouldn’t she and Rusev be punished for not actualy doing what they were supposed to?
KANE, LARRY, AND SANTINO- Why are all of these people not paying for their food.
JUSTIN GABRIEL vs. “THE NEW AND IMPROVED FANDANGO” (w/Rosa Mendes)- DUD!
So this "new and improved Fandango" is doing the same gimmick and the same finisher. How is this "new and improved" in any way?!
If the above question looks familiar, that is because I have copied and pasted it WORD FOR WORD from my review of last night’s PPV.
BIG SHOW PROMO- awesome, and explains everything from last night. Then things got bad when Eric Rowan came out and Big Show used a baby voice to mock him. The fans actually chanted for Roawn, which surprised the hell out of me.
I knew Rowan was big, but I didn’t realize quite how big he was until he was literally standing face-to-face with the Big Show. Rowan says that he doesn’t like bullies, which makes Big Show’s “upside-down Sheamus” comment seem even more true.
SETH ROLLINS & THE STOOGER-WEIGHTS BACKSTAGE- Rollins points out that they are small. Ziggler shows up and says that he asked his 1.4 million Twitter followers to vote for them, so I assume he wants to wrestle Jamie Noble just as much as I want to see it.
AJ LEE vs. BRIE BELLA (w/Nikki Bella)- 1/10
Cole told us that Nikki had received congratulations from all over the world. NO! Don’t say that! She’s a heel! She and her sister should be receiving condemnation from all over the world!
AJ’s “les be honest” line made laugh harder than I have at anything in a WWE promo in a long time. Her promo was great as usual. The match was short, and AJ cut an even more awesome post-match promo. “It’s about time somebody told the Bellas that talent is not sexually transmitted” has o tot be the best insult of the year.
I also can’t help but notice that this is the second straight angle in which AJ has been involved in lesbian activities… and it started right after she married a guy who is on bad terms with the company. Hmmm… is WWE trying to say something about Punk’s virility?
INTER-SPECIES TAG TEAM MATCH: Tyson Kidd & Natalya vs. ADAM ROSE & THE BUNNY (w/the Exotic Express)-
Yeah. Because THIS match needed a rematch. Anyway, my logical objections as stated in my review of last week’s Main Event not only still stand, but are now amplified because they had six more days to realize how f*cking stupid this is, but have once again failed to do so.
They had Larry the Cable Guy and Santino Marella on commentary. They were amusing. Not amusing was Cole, Lawler and JBL finally figuring out that this Bunny thing opens up the possibility for a lot of puns. It’s been a month! Where have you been?!
The match stunk. Tyson got beaten up by The Bunny, so he’s a jobber. Nattie would rather make nice with The Bunny than try to win a wrestling match, so she’s an idiot because even with Michael Cole making sure that we all that this is a dude in a costume (you know, in case you thought it was a real six-foot-tall anthropomorphic rabbit), she still hasn’t figured it out. Rose got distracted and pinned, so he’s a loser. No one gets over but the f*cking douhebag in a rabbit costume. HOORAY! And they wonder why no one is buying the Network.
The Bunny wound up costing Rose the match, so we are once again right back to where we started. For about the eight time in three weeks.
RENEE YOUNG INTERVIEWS RYBACK- he blows off her congratulating him on his big win, then announces that he will go to the concession stand to bother Kane. What a douchebag!
NEW DAY PROMO WITH ALL THREE GUYS- eh.
RYBACK VISITS KANE AT THE CONCESSION STAND-
He shows up and announces “The Big Guy’s hungry!” like the world’s biggest jackass. He then asked for food that he knew they didn’t have (including “two cans of tuna fish and a protein shake with extra protein for The Big Guy.” Kane responded to this by tossing a hotdog at his face, and I am certain that everyone watching this who has ever worked at a concession stand, or as a bartender or a waiter or anything similar popped HUGE when Kane did this, because of all of the times they would have loved to do it themselves but couldn’t. Yes. In this scenario that WWE has created, Ryback the jerk, while Kane is playing the role of Stone Cold Steve Austin, allowing the fans to live vicariously through him. They thought this would make Ryback the babyface.
Ryback then shoved the heavy concession stand at Kane, trapping him between it and the wall, and sprayed him with condiments. Then he grabbed some peanuts, yelled “hey, Kane! You forgot your nuts, stupid!” and threw the bag of peanuts. Again… WWE thought this would make Ryback cool and likeable. Instead, he comes off like a ten-year-old bully. I hope Erick Rowan beats him up.
Oh. And in the background, we saw security holding off a large crowd of people. Why? It’s a concession stand, remember? For what kayfabe reason would they not be allowed to go there? It can’t be because Kane is too dangerous, because we saw him serving people before.
RENEE YOUNG INTERVIEWS DOLPH ZIGGLER & JOHN CENA-
Cena says that after being knocked out and pinned by Big Show, he watched the rest of the match from the back. Then why didn’t he come out and help Dolph after the ref bump when Hunter, Rollins, and the stooges were all beating on him?
Dolph then cut a promo in which he gave absolutely all of the credit for his victory to Sting, completely ignoring the fact that he got two pins on his own, and would have beaten Rollins and won the match on his own MORE THAN ONCE if it hadn’t been for The Authority cheating. At least Cena gave Dolph some credit.
Cena then cut an almost entirely pointless promo about the main event. Also, Cena calling himself “the guy who runs the place” when he does not in fact “run the place” is really douchy.
HANDICAP MATCH: John Cena & Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury, & Jamie Noble- no rating. Okay segment. The stoogery was amusing, but I would have rather seen them wrestle. Rollins tried to escape after the match, but Dragon tossed him back into the ring and he ate a superkick and an AA. Dragon, Dolph, and Cena then all celebrated together.
Was this a great show? No. But it was definitely fun and with a few exceptions, very enjoyable. It came off like a good change of pace from the Authority-run Raw, and left you feeling at least a little bit excited for next week’s show.
If only the show had ended there.
Instead, the Anonymous GM Laptop returned, and not only did it return, but it announced that next week would be “Cyber Monday.” And then, just to ruin the whole show for everyone watching, they played that G-d dammed sound OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND F*CKING OVER AGAIN!
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

what!? no! that was such a dick thing to do, kicking the man that is already down. Dragon is a dick.
Dragon says that he is running the show (at least for tonight). He calls out Team Authority. For Rusev, Dragon gives him an ultimatum: Either defend the title in a “company-wide battle royale” or recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Is it bad that I want to see Rusev win this battle royale?
Just saying, Dragon imposing himself to force Rusev and Lana to pledge allegiance to a flag that is not theirs is pretty heelish. Rusev had never asked the crowd to sing his anthem, just to be respectful while he sings it, but here Dragon is pretty much forcing Rusev to do something against his will and belief. Once again Dragon is a dick, and I too wanted Rusev to win this battle royale.
Dragon makes Harper defend the IC Title against Ambrose, and books Mark Henry vs. “the Ryback” so that Ryback can avenge his loss at WrestleMania XXIX.
MARK HENRY vs. RYBACK- DUD!

And wouldn’t it have been a lot better to have them lay Sarge out to get heat? Lana had great facials, but shouldn’t she and Rusev be punished for not actualy doing what they were supposed to?
Dragon was bluffing, we never got that battle royale
KANE, LARRY, AND SANTINO- Why are all of these people not paying for their food.
JUSTIN GABRIEL vs. “THE NEW AND IMPROVED FANDANGO” (w/Rosa Mendes)- DUD!
So this "new and improved Fandango" is doing the same gimmick and the same finisher. How is this "new and improved" in any way?!

one day Punk is gonna get pissed and put a baby on AJ just to fuck up any future plans for the diva's division

RENEE YOUNG INTERVIEWS RYBACK- he blows off her congratulating him on his big win, then announces that he will go to the concession stand to bother Kane. What a douchebag!
NEW DAY PROMO WITH ALL THREE GUYS- eh.
I'm so hoping they come out next week and give a shoot promo on stereotyped gimmicks and confirm that assumtion that The New Day => TND => The Nation (of) Domination
At least Cena gave Dolph some credit.
And this is why i wanted a better win for Ziggler at the PPV
Cena then cut an almost entirely pointless promo about the main event. Also, Cena calling himself “the guy who runs the place” when he does not in fact “run the place” is really douchy.
HANDICAP MATCH: John Cena & Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury, & Jamie Noble- no rating. Okay segment. The stoogery was amusing, but I would have rather seen them wrestle. it made me sad all the time that JBL tried to sell that J&J Security are former champs and Cole and Lawler had to put him down.
If only the show had ended there.

I never noticed at what point they put the computer next to the table, but it must had been a terrible spoiler for the crowd.
Also, no explanation from Sting at all. Sting was just a cheap pop and network sell. I wouldn't even call last night his debut, it was just an appearance.

Again... this company needs a booking change, and needs to have real bookers. And also Vince not having his hands in things too much.
And this is why i wanted a better win for Ziggler at the PPV
I think this is Dolph's fault. It seemed to me like Cena went and added that line in on his own because Dolph forgot to mention it.
It came off like a good change of pace from the Authority-run Raw, and left you feeling at least a little bit excited for next week’s show.
it made me sad all the time that JBL tried to sell that J&J Security are former champs and Cole and Lawler had to put him down.
Agreed
If only the show had ended there.
Instead, the Anonymous GM Laptop returned, and not only did it return, but it announced that next week would be “Cyber Monday.” And then, just to ruin the whole show for everyone watching, they played that G-d dammed sound OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND F*CKING OVER AGAIN!
I never noticed at what point they put the computer next to the table, but it must had been a terrible spoiler for the crowd.
Also, no explanation from Sting at all. Sting was just a cheap pop and network sell. I wouldn't even call last night his debut, it was just an appearance.

Similar to what Cero said -surely I'm not the one that noticed that suddenly since they're J&J Security...they're nowheres near the credible wrestlers they once were.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

DRAGON IS BACK!
And he started doing the “Yes!” chant right in Hunter and Steph’s faces. That was awesome. Hunter and Steph walk up the ramp, so Dragon runs in front of them and starts doing the “Yes!” chant again. That was even more awesome!
what!? no! that was such a dick thing to do, kicking the man that is already down. Dragon is a dick.
But when you look at all of the things that they did to him, this is just justice.
that was months ago, Daniel Bryan had a chance to be the better man and he failed [-(
For Rusev, Dragon gives him an ultimatum: Either defend the title in a “company-wide battle royale” or recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
Yeah... but it still works. I think it would have been better to actually have Sarge get his ass kicked
yeah, everything worked out at the end. I just think that most of the face things that Rusev is put through, they're all really douchy for the most part. If any face was forced to chose between a battle royal or pledge allegiance to a foreign flag, it would be seen as a huge insult, but here we are to expect that it's all 'fun'
So i'm guessing Harper vs Rowan wasn't a thing after all?
If it was, they wouldn't have had Harper beat Rowan last night.
True, it was just bad that out of nowhere Rowan seems to have a beef with Harper. Also, technically Bray saved Harper last night, that was a weird coincidence, since it's never gonna be mentioned

I did noticed that Cena cut Ziggler off. Maybe he forgot the line, Meltzer and Alvarez think that maybe writers didn't trust Ziggler to cut that promo

Re: BRM Reviews the 11/24/2014 Raw
I truthfully think that the whole Harper Ambrose Wyatt coincidence is-not that. I believe it will in fact lead somewhere. Mention the Rowan /Harper thing going by the wayside? Say someway, somehow, Harper and Wyatt just so happen to end up fighting with Ambrose at once-out comes none other than Rowan. Hmmmmmm.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

Why should he? After everything they put him through? This was warranted. He's a dick if he keeps bringing it up all the time. Doing it this once was fine.

I do agree with that, but then again, perhaps they are doing it to build Rusev up as a legit babyface in Russia.
Also, if you want to look at it like this, the reason that Dragon didn't book the battle royale after Rusev refused was because he realized ow douchy it was, so at least he wasn't being a total dick.

Yup. Once again: this has been a fine example of why you NEED to plan things out in advance.

Yeah, I heard them say that, too, but if that was the case, then why let Dolph talk so much at all?
