Yoshitatsu suffered what was reported as a neck injury at today's opening day of the New Japan World Tag League event. More details to come but that looks to eliminate the Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yoshitatsu team from the tournament.

The injury likely took place two weeks ago when Yoshitatsu took the Styles Clash wrong, although he claimed he was fine after that match.

Yoshitatsu is out of the New Japan tag team tournament due to a neck injury as reported earlier today. However, Hiroshi Tanahashi will remain in the tournament with Ryusuke Taguchi as his new partner, so it's a double world champion (heavyweight and junior heayweight) tag team. This enables them to continue the tournament without having to re-book everything.

1. I figured That looked worse than the one Roddy took.
2. Yeah, except no one can take the pinfalls because Taguchi is a champ and Tanahashi is Tanahashi (and also the #1 contender to the IWGP Heavyweight Title.
3. We can only hope.
