Same here. Everything has seemed like a huge letdown. They had a year to plan all of this, and THIS was the best they could come up with?

A CHIKARA reviews blog I have been reading (Nothingbuttherain) has made an excellent point: HOW, exactly, is the Flood going to "destroy" CHIKARA? We really can't be worried (and thus have reason to root for the babyfaces) if we don't understand what is at stake.
