Have you watched any ROH in the past year? They don't actually use that rule, but Steve Corino is under the impression that they do, which always makes for amusing commentary when Kevin Kelly has to gently correct him.kirbs2002 wrote:Love it! Awesome find Bob-O!
I would like to see promotions go by these rules. Even the top rope one. Especially the top rope one.
You can get their TV on the internet through their website with the free general membership. Or by searching a site like DailyMotion. They've actually put together a run of fantastic TV shows since about mid-July. Everything aside form maybe one show was at least great, if not wholly awesome.kirbs2002 wrote:I've soured on ROH because there's no TV anywhere near where I am and I still haven't gotten over the clusterf*cks their PPV productions used to be.

Think about how much that was in 1974! A hawk-eyed snitch in the crowd could conceivably take home more than one of the guys on the undercard!cero2k wrote:also notice the $50 reward if you tell on someone who was throwing shit at the ring
As a kid I remember this, and it kind of sucked. Looking back, it was a cool way for a heel to get some heat, by jumping over the top rope and trying to get the ref to believe he'd been thrown. But, think about it, if somebody is getting thrown over the top rope things are getting pretty crazy! Action is picking up, babyface making a comeback or whatever, and *ding *ding *ding - Ref calls for the bell, stops the fight and it's a DQ finish! Sure, it was a good way to stretch out feuds, but also a very "blue balls" type way... just... grrrrr...kirbs2002 wrote:Love it! Awesome find Bob-O!

Which is perfect when trying to get heat on your chickenshit heel. Besides, for the garbage wrestlers who need to brawl to get a pop, it's only disqualification if they're thrown over the top.Bob-O wrote:Sure, it was a good way to stretch out feuds, but also a very "blue balls" type way... just... grrrrr...
