KEVIN STEEN TELLS US WHY HE CHOSE STEVE CORINO AS HIS FINAL ROH OPPONENT- okay

Kevin Kelly managed to botch the “____ STEEN ____” chant by saying “thanks Kevin thanks.” This is an absolutely astounding failure, considering that he has been at ringside for almost all of Steen’s ROH matches over the past three years.


ACH vs. TADARIUS THOMAS (w/the Decade)- 7.75/10
Like a slugfest, but with feet! They did an awesome job of building to everything. The lack of respect and each guy’s desire to beat his former partner was almost tangible. Thomas has come a long way since being just the Capoeira guy.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- Jacobs and Whitmer slapped Page and Thomas around, as they usually do after losses. The students seemed like they were going to finally fight back, but wound up not doing so. It was a great tease.

CEDRIC ALEXANDER VIDEO PACKAGE & HYPE FOR CEDRIC VS. ELGIN- GREAT! The match is in two weeks, and if it is anything like their encounter earlier this year at Flyin’ High, I will be very happy.

STEEN’S LAST MATCH IN ROH: Kevin Steen vs. Steve Corino- 7/10
Maybe this was clipped for time, but I was expecting more out of it. I did like the idea that Corino realized that this might be his last ROH match, too, so he didn’t want to lose either and subtly tried to steal the spotlight.

CLOSING SEGMENT- GREAT!

Jimmy Jacobs comes out during the post-match and it seems like maybe Decade shenanigans will ensue, but instead we got a nice little SCUM reunion… until Jacobs maneuvered Steen and Corino so that their backs were to the curtain, and then Roddy and BJ came out and attacked Steen and Corino from behind! Those motherf*ckers!
Steen fought back, and eventually Kazarian, Daniels, ACH, Cedric Alexander, and Caprice Coleman hit the ring and chased them off.

An awesome show from ROH.
