Funny booking/promoting facts

I'm not sure where to post this... so it goes into blogs! Bookers and promoters will do things (especially things that fans love) for reasons that seem really funny, considering that the fans love it so much. For example:
I recetly learned that former ROH Booker Gabe Sapolsky created ROH's annual Survival of the Fittest event (six qaulifiers, and then a 6 man elimination finals) so that he could get away with only booking 12 guys on a show, thus saving money.
Another of these is that the now-popular soundbyte style of the original nWo promos was done because, with Hogan, Hall, and Nash all getting the mic time that they wanted, the promos were WAY TOO LONG, so Bischoff had them chopped up in production, creating the now-famous style of promos.
