NJPW G1 Climax 23: Day 2 (8/2/2013)- Tokyo, Japan

BLOCK B: Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson vs. Shelton Benjamin- 2.75/10

BLOCK B: Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Yujiro Takahashi- 5.75/10

BLOCK B: Yuji Nagata vs. Toru Yano- 1.5/10
A short, mostly dull match that was not helped at all by some goofy selling from Nagata.

BLOCK A: Lance Archer vs. Prince Devitt (w/Bad Luck Fale)- 5.75/10

BLOCK A: Satoshi Kojima vs. Katsuyori Shibata- 6.5/10

BLOCK A: Togi Makabe vs. Davey Boy Smith, Jr.- 6.5/10

BLOCK B: Tetsuya Naito vs. Kota Ibushi- 4/10
Naito spent the whole match working over Kota’s knee and Kota barely even f*cking sold it. BOOOO!

BLOCK B: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Minoru Suzuki-7.25/10

BLOCK A: Hirooki Goto vs. Kazuchika Okada- 7/10
Goto threw one of the most awesome-looking headbutts I have ever seen. Other than that, this was a great match, but nothing too remarkable considering what Okada has been doing the rest of the year.

BLOCK A: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Tomohiro Ishii- 8.75/10
Both men worked over their opponent’s neck all match, which led to some utterly spectacular nearfalls towards the end. AWESOME match!

A good show from New Japan, but really a one-match show. That match is definitely worth going out of your way to see, though.
