Dustin Rhodes: Yay or Nay?

I've been in a discussion for about an hour on whether Dustin Rhodes, in any of his gimmicks, was ever worth a damn. I will totally agree that the goldust gimmick is amazing (his only worth something gimmick IMO) but Dustin himself is quite dull, boring, and not that good of a wrestler. Miles away from Cody or Dusty.

what do you guys think, Yay or Nay on goldust ?

Promos- Great

Wrestling- not a spectacular technician, but he knew how to wrestle as Goldust.

at certain points, Goldust was an entertaining character; however Dustin Rhodes/Runnels was/is NOT a great wrestler in any sense of the word. I've always disliked him.

Nay

Yay.

But only for his work as Goldust. There have been probably two points in his career when he was a step off almost main eventing (if only for a short while..) and we cannot forget his Tag Team with Booker T.

Promo work was good. In ring work solid. But never set my world on fire.

Everything else is missable.

I've never been a huge fan. I did like the original Goldust character with Marlena, and I remember him teaming up well with Barry Windham in WCW.

But he gets the 'Nay' for the stuttering/tourettes gimmick and the punch/kick moveset despite being a shitty brawler. Never very interesting once the bell rang.

Yay!

I hated Goldust when I was younger, just because he creeped me out. But looking back, Goldust was a character executed almost to perfection. From the way he moves to the way he speaks, we do not see Dustin Rhodes, just *inhale* Gooooooldusssst.

He also has a kickass entrance theme, which always helps.

I also enjoyed The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust and Black Reign.

see, I could ONLY see Dustin Rhodes; it made it even worse.

I actually enjoyed the stuttering gimmick after Evolution electrocuted him; but I LOATHED Black Reign....
