That Guy is a Draw for Some People?!

As I sit typing this, I have just finished the majority of the matches on FIP Without Malice, and I have had the same thought that most of the FIP DVDs I have seen so far have given me: That's it? I have fifteen more of these setting on my shelf and I have no idea how I am ever going to make it through them if they all feel this underwhelming. Hell... even Roderick Strong and Bryan Danielson's match was underwhelming (well, for a match between those two, at least).
"What possessed me buy all of these?" I found myself wondering. Yes, they were very cheap, but there are tons of WWE DVD from the mid-late 2000's that I could have found for the same cheap price, and those would have had better production values, better announcing, and, from what I have seen so far, probably better wrestling, too. Maybe I had some delusion that because Gabe was booking the promotion it would be like ROH (at least in terms of good angles and letting guys go out there and giving them time to have great matches). But then I thought to myself... if I wanted to watch ROH, why would I buy FIP when I have at least fifty ROH DVDs that I haven't watched yet?
Then I looked down at the jewel case for With Malice and looked at the one match I had yet to see on this DVD: CM Punk vs. James Gibson. Then I looked at most of my other FIP DVDs and saw a trend. Almost all of them (especially the ones from 2005, when most of my FIP collection is), contained one name that excited me way more than most of the others: James Gibson.
Yeah. That James Gibson. The guy who used to be Jamie Noble. He is the draw for me. He is the reason I bought most of these FIP DVDs.
I know what some people might be thinking right now: "How the f*ck is Jamie Noble a draw for this guy?"
The short and obvious answer is "I love his wrestling and I like his promos and his character." It's as simple as that. He might not do anything for others, but I really enjoy seeing him. Enough to shell out a few dollars for a semi-random indy DVDs. Most people would not consider him a draw, but for me, an indy Jamie Noble match is a big draw. I'm sure that everyone has one or two guys who are big draws for them who might not be draws for most people. Jamie Noble is one of mine. Who are yours?
