TV Show of the Year: TNA Final Resolution
(Final Resolution gets the nod for the runner-up spot over ROH Boiling Point and ROH Battle of Richmond, each for different reasons. Battle of Richmond really wasn’t promoted as a major show, while Final Resolution was, and although the match quality on Battle of Richmond is worse, I am giving them a bit of a pass because they had to change their main event at the last minute because of Steen’s injury. While Boiling Point was promoted as a major show and it’s main event was worse than the best and most-hyped match at Final Resolution, Boiling Point had a stronger undercard and it actually felt like important things/blow-offs were happening, while Final Resolution really felt like an extended version of Impact, with nothing important at all happening. The issue of the Velvet-Sky centered hype package for the Knockouts’ Title match between Tara and Mickie really helped reinforce this feeling that this show was complete and total filler.
