IMO, I think it was because everything they did they kind of half-a**ed, rather than doing it to the best of their abilities. I think if they'd done that then it would have been better. For instance, having Hunter at the beginning of the show, then interviewed in the middle, and then at the end was irritating. Just have the Hunter/Punk confrontation happen at the end of the show before Hunter makes the announcement, Hunter tells Punk to come up with new material, and Laurinitis (I don't care if I misspelled) comes out, makes his case, Cena comes out, et cetera. Then that particular angle would have had everything they wanted and wouldn't have shoved Hunter down our throats three times in one show.

That's just my opinion, and just an example of why I think this particular episode put me right off.
They needed more action. Unless they give us something huge at the end of a show instead of a main event then im disappointed. The whole rightful WWE Champion thing i thought was stupid because i knew we'd see a title match at SummerSlam because Triple H wouldn't make up his mind. The fact that i knew almost everything that was going to happen outside of Johnny D-Bag showing up made me dislike the ending even more.

True. Either way it's done, i cant see Cena walking away with the title. Punk not being champ would look bad. On top of that it gets boring when Cena's the one holding the title. I want change and Punk as champion is a change i like.

It was 2 hours but still. There were 3 regular matches i think and a battle royal. The show angered me ALMOST as much as the Rock birthday episode. They waited until over a half hour to finally have a match and there were only a few that night. They had a bit with The Rock at the beginning which is all they really needed because that whole show did nothing but praise the Rock. I dont recall it furthering anything except Cena/Rock a little bit but still.

The amount of promo time altogether was bad too.

yeah; and not a single match was good. Ryder/Santino v. the tag champs could have been WAAAY better. Miz/Truth v. Rey/Morrison was ok (but why didn't Rey get his return match for the WWE title? Cena got his a week after losing the title). The Divas battle Royal was what every Divas battle Royal has been: crap. And Del Rio v. Bourne could have been way better also...

I agree with Rabid, too; this episode just kept all the seemingly important stuff at a standstill. I figured he'd strip both Punk & Cena of their titles rather than have two champs (which is ridiculous; there's already two champs as it is)

I find Micheal Cole makes all of Miz' matches unbearable. I understand he's a heel, but everything Miz does he acts as if it's the most incerbdible thing in the world. It's really irritating and takes away from the match.

And they didn't even bring up the feud Miz and Morrison had after Truth and Miz won the match, and started to beat him down.

Cole really does his best to take away from the Miz's matches because besides being annoying with his Miz love, it gets King to annoyingly cheer for the other guy or team. I'd prefer down the center type commentary with a little bit of heel love from Cole. He gushes every time Miz is around and at this point it's hurting The Miz because it's taking away from his matches.

Cole is just plain awful. I was watching the Greatest Stars of the 21st Century dvd and his commentary before he turned heel was terrible too.

To me he gets heat the way Sandman said Sandman got heat way back at the beginning of his ECW days: Cole doesn't get heat from the fans bc he does something they don't like; he gets heat bc he SUCKS!

Heenan, Lawler, and Ventura did a damn good job without taking away from matches or making the show more annoying (and Heenan LOVED Flair; def more than Cole loves Miz)...

If they didn't think it was doing well enough, wouldn't they try to bring the Rock in sooner (Summerslam, like Shogun said) than later (Survivor Series, like they're gonna do)?
They feared that they couldn't keep Punk with the WWE title around while "unemployed" so they brought him back so soon. I did read that somewhere that wasn't LOP. Ryder did get himself over and they finally listened to the crowd by putting him on TV. They honestly could have kept it going with Punk but they got scared and brought him back. Bringing the Rock back at SummerSlam would be a shocker but i think they're gonna try to wait for it at Survivor Series so they can build up towards it a bit.
let's be honest, Rock is coming back until Surviro Series cuz he's doing GI Joe 2 and wouldn't make it for SS.

and the reason they brought Punk so early is because they didn't believe that del Rio vs Cena was gonna be Big enough, considering that Punk was taking all the spotlight.
