The stipulation thing makes no sense. Stips aren't just enforced by contract law, but also by the promotion as a sanctioning body. Having I e night a year where you ignore stips still has the same problem of damaging promotional effectiveness that any going back on a stip does.
But it's not AEW's Jericho Cruise
Then they can't acknowledge it or promote it on TV (and certainly not run TV from it).

So THIS happened and caused a lot of controversy:

Personally, I'm just amused that the people who have gotten so upset about this are exactly the people who would be (and DID) pile on Duke Lacrosse when that happened.

Would I have stayed away from all of those subjects? Yes (though if I came up with a line about Julia that I thought was good enough, I would have run it by her, first. And I'm not saying that Caster didn't do that here, because I don't know whether he did or not). But, ill-advised or not, a lot of this (especially the Simone Biles and Julia Hart things) are people getting upset at a heel being a heel. I have a little more trouble with calling COVID fake and saying you're going to make up false rape charges, but even that you can still justify as a heel being a heel. Again: I'm not saying that any of it was wise, and Tony Khan is free to reprimand in whatever manner he sees fit (and he has said that he is personally taking over editing of the show, which I think is more than fair), but some of this was just a heel being a heel and people wanting to get upset about it.

ROH tagging NXT on that tweet is such a weird shot

Yeah. I don't know how Twitter works, so maybe it was done accidentally?

Either way, even mentioning NXT or calling "releases" wasn't good. Just say something like "with all of the amazing talent available, who would you like to see in ROH?" That way you don't frame the talent as cast-offs.

With the current state of WWE and NXT, I don't think a lot of people are seeing releases as cast-offs anymore. I think most people are now excited to see people getting "freedom"

It's still bad framing, though.

Okay... but wasn't his old gear stand-out-y enough? Who is wearing a Roman gladiator half-skirt? Ember Moon was at one point, but that's about it.

This thing is just soo... DUMB. And they did the same thing to the Viking Raiders and I don't think it has helped their merch any.

If Becky requested it then this is slightly less dumb because at least it is being done to keep a top name happy, but still, someone should have told her "no." Also, it makes me question Becky's judgment if she thought this would work. Also, if she is going to be a heel, they should have just come out and had her REALLY cheat to beat Bianca, not just start the match with a cheap-shot.

I don't think that worry mattered much to her, she probably thought it was going to be fun and maybe she is a bit overconfident that she can make it work and get Bianca over.

Not sure if true, but I just overheard a dude in the train say that the title change in Raw was due to an injury
