Okay. I misunderstood what you were saying.cero2k wrote: ↑Dec 14th, '18, 10:02thus the people live enjoyed it, but Dozer is saying the tournament felt too long, likely because it was episodic with only a few matches per episode. It wasn't an issue for the casuals, those tournaments have been success for WWE, just not for dozer.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Dec 14th, '18, 09:55But it's not casuals who are showing up at Full Sail. And the tournaments themselves were released one a week, so that shouldn't be an issue.

kinda off topic, but related.
Dave and Alvarez were talking about the mixed match challenge and brought up people who always asks why WWE never books a G1 Climax style tournament, and they just pointed out the clusterfuck that the MMC was. Everyone got replaced and now either Truth or Jinder are going to be Rumble's #30 entrant.

That's a misdiagnosis. The real problem is the combination of Vince's constant need to change sh*t around (and a resultant lack of planning ahead), combined with an unwillingness to take the necessary steps to minimize the possibility of injury. The former is pretty self-explanatory (AJ being pulled would be an example of not planning ahead because the reason he was pulled is that they didn't want either him or Charlotte getting pinned when they'd have to lose, so they just pulled AJ from the whole thing), but what I mean by the latter is that the most obvious thing to do would have been to pull the wrestlers in the MMC from wrestling on other shows, or at least book things to greatly lighten their work-load, but WWE is completely unwilling to do that because MMC is this goofy Facebook thing and Raw and Smackdown are more important. Is it any wonder people are going to get hurt with the rest of WWE's schedule, plus this (with some people on SD now having to wrestle twice in the same night?). Yes, injuries and illnesses and deaths in the family will happen, but you try to prevent them, and work around them when they do happen. If they had done a round-robin for about two months on Raw or SD, if they weren't willing to pull people form house shows before important tournament matches they could have done some of the matches on the house shows themselves (like what NXT has done at times with their tournaments) and it would reduce the wear-and-tear factor without pulling people from house shows, but in the case of MMC they couldn't do that because it was a Facebook thing, and even if it had been a Raw or SD thing they would never do that because such a thing would never occur to them.cero2k wrote: ↑Dec 14th, '18, 10:41 kinda off topic, but related.
