TNA announced today that tag team champions Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards have signed new deals with the promotion.
Each man's contract was set to expire on 4/30.
Edwards & Richards were two of the wrestlers referred to in recent Observer stories with names not listed of TNA talent that WWE was pursuing, but that TNA was offering more than WWE.
Their new deals will allow them to continue to work independent shows, however because they are getting guaranteed contracts, promotions will have to go through TNA to book them as opposed to directly going through them as in the past.

I had read this morning that this was an exclusive thing, good to see that some indie shows are allowed. TNA for the most part has allowed to do PWG shows before. Too bad for Evolve tho, doubt TNA will allow them to work for WWE's newest lackeyBig Red Machine wrote:

I wouldn't be so sure about the PWG thing anymore. It's going to be the situation it was from 2009-2013 when TNA would technically let indy companies use their wrestlers... but they'll make them pay through the nose to get them, to the point where it won't be fiscally viable.cero2k wrote:I had read this morning that this was an exclusive thing, good to see that some indie shows are allowed. I guess when talking about their tag champs you're right. I was hoping it would be more like when TNA allowed TJ Perkins or the Bucks do PWGBig Red Machine wrote:I wouldn't be so sure about the PWG thing anymore. No. I think you're going to get something more like when MCMG, Kaz, and AJ were "allowed" to do PWG or Awesome Kong was "allowed" to do SHIMMER.cero2k wrote:I guess when talking about their tag champs you're right.
