MIZ QUITS TEAM PUNK- okay…

ANTONIO CEASRO & THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. R-TRUTH, SIN CARA, & REY MYSTERIO- 5.75/10
The R-Truth Tout was funny.

CENA & VICKIE SEGMENT- This is the sort of thing that Dixie Carter and AJ Styles should have been doing from day one. I popped for Cena’s Encyclopedia Brown reference.

If AJ goes and beats up Vickie and then gets fired… why can’t Booker T just rehire her for Smackdown?

PAUL HEYMAN & WADE BARRETT- good… although it really annoyed me that the camera would only be on Heyman so we couldn’t see who he was talking to. I know that they do it for the pop, but tt just doesn’t make logical kayfabe sense.

DANIEL BRYAN (w/Kane) vs. CODY RHODES (w/Damien Sandow)- 4/10
Great for such a short match! Dragon was over HUGE.

KANE (w/Daniel Bryan) vs. DAMIEN SANDOW (w/Cody Rhodes)- DUD! WAY too short for Sandow to lose.

BRAD MADDOX PROMO- I LOVE IT! A standard babyface underdog so driven to accomplish his dream that he does something that he knows is wrong. Then Vince comes out and this gets a bit more interesting.

VINCE & VICKIE STUFF- the way that they did this made a lot of sense, actually, but as a fan, I am slightly annoyed that last week’s show was pretty much entirely erased.

SHEAMUS vs. THE MIZ- 6.75/10
Good match, but Show’s commentary made me think of a more interesting idea for Show vs. Sheamus. I think it would have been better for the WWE to have Miz win here, getting roll-up after ducking a Brogue Kick. I would play up that Sheamus has lost his confidence in the Brogue Kick. Have him hesistate before going for it and have him lose some matches. Have him lose his rematch at Survivor Series, then have him regain his confidence and beat Big Show at Mania.

PUNK, ZIGGLER, & VICKIE BACKSTAGE- okay

SHEAMUS & REGAL- just an excuse to get Regal on TV, but I’m okay with that.

EVE TORRES & AKSANA vs. LAYLA EL & KAITLYN- 2/10
Eve’s heel stuff was very good. Layla and Aksana… not so much.

KOFI KINGSTON vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)- 6.75/10
Stupid finish ruins a great match. I also didn’t like Orton RKOing Del Rio just because it wastes a potential segment ending angle. Why not have the music distract Del Rio this week. Then, on Smackdown, when the music plays, it won’t distract Del Rio that much because he thinks Orton won’t show up… then have Orton come out through the crowd and RKO him?

TEAM CO-BRO vs. EPICO & PRIMO (w/Rosa Mendes)- 4/10

WADE BARRETT vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/the Funkadactyls)- 4/10

HETHA SLATER (w/Jinder Mahal) vs .Jey Uso (w/Jimmy Uso)-3.75/10

CM PUNK PROMO- GREAT!

JOHN CENA & RYBACK vs. CM PUNK & DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Paul Heyman & Vickie Guerrero)- 5.5/10
Not good enough for a main event, but it got it’s point across well, and Ryback pining Punk was about the only thing in the world that could add to his momentum.

Overall, a decent episode of Raw elevated by a great crowd.

I think this will actually play out later in some other show cuz there has been news about some video of Show, Regal, and Sheamus getting in a fight in a pub.
