NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
I would like to announce my predictions for Money in the Bank, the most anticipated PPV all year besides Wrestlemania.
Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella for the Divas Championship
Kelly Kelly is WWE's most popular diva right now, and has been riding a bullet train of momentum.
Big Show vs. Mark Henry
Mark Henry, like Kelly Kelly, has been riding a bullet train of momentum, just making a mess of things, so I'm giving the win to Henry.
SD Money in the Bank
Hmmmmm....I can't decide here. Sin Cara could benefit from a match in which you can win the World Title without really wrestling. Meanwhile Cody Rhodes is kind of in a rut right now, and needs something like the MITB to jumpstart his heel career, like The Miz did last year.
Raw Money in the Bank
The only person who I'm comfortable with winning the Raw MITB is Alberto Del Rio, as it was teased that he would actually wrestle Cena for the title at MITB, before Punk was reinstated. This could also propel him into the tippy top of the card, somewhere where he's been before, but a glass ceiling prevents this.
Randy Orton (c) vs. Christian for the WHC
As much as I hate the man as a competitor, I'm giving it to Randy Orton simply because I'd rather have Punk walk out with the title than Christian, and it would be illogical to have 2 championships change hands in one night.
John Cena (c) vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship
I know this may be controversial, but I'm giving my vote for C.M Punk simply because John Cena NEEDS to be kayfabe fired to rehab his injuries, and it is my belief that to have one title would be beneficial to WWE for now.
And those are my prediction folks. Agree? Disagree? Discuss.

Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
I don't think Henry's going to win. I'm just under the impression they let no one go over Show unless its maybe Cena or Orton.
Money in the Bank is NOT going to Sin Cara. It would be foolish for him to have it. He is in absolutely no right deserving of it. The only thing he deserves is a handful of months in FCW. I think the odds on favorite is Sheamus, with Rhodes or Barrett being a slight possibility.
Don't know who's in the Raw one....
Orton V. Christian - I would be so ridiculously happy of Christian came out on top. But whenever the heels stack the deck its usually the faces who win. I expect Orton to win, but desperately wish for Christian to win it.
Cena V. Punk - I don't know what to expect. I do expect WWE to pull something crazy out of its hat. What that is, I have no idea.

Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
I see Punk winning, and the Raw MITB winner cashing in on him.
BUT, the plot twist I see is that CM Punk has a moment of Genre Savvy and gets himself disqualified/counted out!

Reality TV is faker than "fake" wrestling!

Why do you think it is illogical to have two titles change hands in one night?

Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
interesting picks, NWK. Here's my response:
Kelly will def win. WWE obviously had plans to have Kharma involved in Kelly's Divas title reign in one way or another, so they must be high on Kelly (and why not; she's a beautiful as Stacey and Torrie were but much more of an in ring competitor.
I HOPE Henry wins. He and Truth are getting the best pushes and black wrestler has gotten in the WWE and both have revitalized their careers through it. I'm happy with the WWE in that respect.
SD! MITB: Either Barrett or Rhodes; if it's Barret, he'll be the first guy not to win the title after cashing it in, though I think Slater and Gabriel will either keep him from winning or help him win. I'm leaning more towards Rhodes.
RAW MITB: Del Rio MUST win this; it's his destiny. I could see Riley or Miz getting it, but one would think they'd be more focused on stopping one another than securing the victory (unless WWE hits us with a good swerve and Miz and Riley have been pulling the wool over our eyes all along. That could help get Miz over more as the thinking heel, which he def needs.
World Title match: Christian is going to win when Sheamus comes in to attack Orton and somehow ends up hitting Christian. Orton needs to drop that belt and they're gonna wanna save him some face so they can have a three way at Summerslam (maybe a four way with Henry added in).
WWE Title match: Punk will win, Cena will be "fired", HHH and/or Steph will be involved some way, and Vince will be furious. I think this whole angle is set up to show the changing of the guard in WWE in ALL aspects of the company. Having Punk win over the face AND to the dismay of VKM is the PERFECT way to do this. Punk won't leave yet; he'll hold the title 'hostage' for a while and prolly lose it at Summerslam or the next PPV.....

Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
I'm trying to remember which PPV, but there was one a couple years ago where not only did all 3 brands titles change hands but Punk cashed in his MITB on Jeff Hardy making 4 top title changes in one night, something that most likely will never be matched again much less topped...Big Red Machine wrote:Why do you think it is illogical to have two titles change hands in one night?
Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
I wasn't watching much WWE then, but I remember when Punk cashed in his first MITB and won the belt from Edge. I felt like the WWE passed up a great opportunity to REALLY get Punk over then bc he saved RAW from not having a major singles title on the brand. Instead, the never let him cleanly even compete with Y2J and/or Batista and made him drop the title by being punted by Orton. Then, they were NEVER going to follow up on that occurrence. That's why Creative nd Talent Relations are in such peril (those in those positions, that is); bc they thought they could get away with not explaining things to the fans....ECWFlairfan wrote:I'm trying to remember which PPV, but there was one a couple years ago where not only did all 3 brands titles change hands but Punk cashed in his MITB on Jeff Hardy making 4 top title changes in one night, something that most likely will never be matched again much less topped...Big Red Machine wrote:Why do you think it is illogical to have two titles change hands in one night?

When they come, they'll come at what you love.
Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
with Punk & Orton? I thought Punk didn't seek revenge until this years rumble? Wasn't Punk traded or drafted to SD! a few months after he had to drop the World title the first time?

Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
nope,,vince came out and made orton compete in street clothes,,he might hve been traded im not sure but he def got some revenge on himbadnewzxl wrote:with Punk & Orton? Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
okay. I was confused bc they used that to promote the Punk v. Orton feud this year; I figured the two never had a real blow-off. I guess they just pulled it out of their ass bc "creative" was too friggin dumb to realize that Punk v. Cena would have blown the roof off at WM and Orton v. Miz could have been WAAAY better than Cena v. Miz was....KILLdozer wrote:nope,,vince came out and made orton compete in street clothes,,he might hve been traded im not sure but he def got some revenge on himbadnewzxl wrote:with Punk & Orton? Re: NWK's Money in the Bank Predictions
Because if Christian and Punk were to walk out with championships, the "water cooler conversation" if you will, would be split between Christian and Punk, obviously. However, given how hot the Punk angle is, if they're going to give anyone "new champion limelight" it should all go to Punk.Big Red Machine wrote:Why do you think it is illogical to have two titles change hands in one night?
Edit: It isn't that I'm uncomfortable with the general idea of two titles changing hands, it's the fact that both angles are so hot, I wouldn't want one to take away from the other.

Okay, I see where you are coming from. Personally, I disagree, because you pull the trigger when the time is right, no matter how many other triggers you are pulling at once.NWK wrote:Because if Christian and Punk were to walk out with championships, the "water cooler conversation" if you will, would be split between Christian and Punk, obviously.
