ROH Best in the World 2011 (6/26/2011)- Manhattan, NY

COLT CABANA vs. TOMASSO CIAMPA (w/Prince Nana & Ernie Osiris)- 4.25/10. I wasn’t happy with Ciampa being involved in comedy. He was made to look like a fool, which he your monster should never be.

JAY LETHAL vs. MIKE BENNETT (w/Bob Evans)- 5/10. Had some good psychology, but was a bit short. Meanwhile, Kevin Kelly makes the Diving Elbow Drop the 96th different move to be titled the “Lethal Injection”

STREET FIGHT: Homicide vs. Rhino (w/Prince Nana)- 6.5/10 Good aftermath, too, but I don’t think Cide should have punched Nana. If Nana is supposed to be a hated manager, you can’t keep letting people get their heat back from him.

STEVE CORINO (w/Jimmy Jacobs) vs. MICHAEL ELGIN (w/Truth Martini)- 6.25/10 PERFECT aftermath!

ROH TV TITLE MATCH: Christopher Daniels vs. El Generico- 8/10!

ELIMINATION MATCH FOR THE ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin(c) vs. The Briscoe Brothers vs. The All Night Express vs. The Kings of Wrestling (w/Shane Hagaodrn & Sara Del Rey)- 9.25/10. An AWESOME match. GREAT storytelling here. Everyone was used PERFECTLY!

ROH World Title Match: Eddie Edwards(c) vs. Davey Richards- 9.5/10. I would have preferred a proper finisher. My new MOTY

Very touching moment with Davey after the match, too.

Overall, a forgettable first half which led into an INCREDIBLE second half. Sucks to be anyone who didn’t buy this show.
