WWE All-Stars

Post by Sassafras » Mar 25th, '11, 09:36

As I'm sure you're all aware, WWE is releasing an "All-Stars" video game in just a few days. Perfect for WrestleMania season. On wwe.com, they've assembled a top 10 list of "the greatest match-ups that haven't happened" (not coincidentally, the video game's tagline). WWE's website also provided video clips of footage of these matches (taken from the game, of course) and provided written back-stories to them.
I thought it'd be interesting to post for my WR family, the list - looked at as an actual wrestling card (let's say, for the sake of argument, a WrestleMania) - and get your thoughts on how great, or dreadful, you all think it'd be.

--Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat def. Kofi Kingston

--CM Punk def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts

--Tornado Tag Match
Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio def. Shawn Michaels & John Morrison

--"Rowdy" Roddy Piper def. The Miz

--Steel Cage Match
Sheamus def. The Ultimate Warrior

--Bret "The Hitman" Hart def. Edge

--Triple H def. "Macho Man" Randy Savage

--Fatal 4-Way
The Undertaker def. Kane, The Big Show, and Andre The Giant

--The Rock def. Randy Orton

--Triple Threat Match
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin def. John Cena and Hulk Hogan

What do you guys think? All smarkiness aside, I'd pay money to see Punk vs. Roberts, Miz vs. Piper, or Triple H vs. Savage ALONE on any given card. But that's just me. I want feedback from the WR family. Ya know...people who actually know a thing or two about PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING. :D

Firstly, WWE doesn't allow this term anymore... and to even associate it with them is clear grounds for a lawsuit :P

Secondly... HHH vs Savage would be cool.

Steamboar & Kingston just wouldn't be right for me..

Sheamus vs an in prime Ultimate Warrior in a cage would be entertaining...

Stone Cold vs Cena vs Hulk Hogan would suck ass. Both would have to carry Hogan and Stone Cold is the only one with a diverse move set... most of the match would be Cena & Hogan flexing at each other & seeing who could be the bigger Superman.... in between Austin beatdowns of course.

Hitman vs Edge? No. Edge isn't technical enough. Give me Hitman vs Daniel Bryan in a submissions match & you've got a deal.

Eddie & Rey vs HBK & Morrison... I see nothing here that shouts interest at me.

Punk v Roberts, both would be very good with mind games... so on a psychology front, this match would be great.

Piper v Miz... Piper would whoop Miz's ass all over the place.

Rock v Orton... No... The overseller vs the underseller.... not a good combination for me.
