Holy shit, tonight's card is packed! Shawn Spears is on commentary tonight, this should help him a lot get some character out.

Trent? w/Orange Cassidy vs Pentagon Jr. - 7.5/10
Great match. Trent looked great as someone really hard to put down, but Pentagon was just on another level of dominance, he destroyed Trent over and over again, from Package Piledrivers on the apron, which was my biggest issue once the finish came with Trent reversing a Fear Factor into a Dudebuster for the win. It just didn't feel like Pentagon had received enough damage, even for the Dudebuster. I take it Trent is being built for something, not sure what, but he's been showcased twice now.

Shanna Video Package - Awesome babyface video! She talked about being body shamed by WWE and TNA, and all her ups and downs throughout her career. AEW has something with Shanna, maybe let her take Baker's spot for now.

Big Swole Interview - Ahh man, after that awesome promo, and now Swole, all heel comes here and says 'Everyone has a story Shanna!'. Swole pretty much said that the past don't matter, it's all about the now and Shanna aint' ready for this <<points at Swole's biceps>>. Swole is great.

Big Swole vs Shanna - 7/10
While more back and forward and more balanced, this was similar to the previous match with Swole being really dominant, mostly thanks to her striking, but Shanna kept coming back and would stay down. I did think the match went too long by the time Shanna hit that reverse Tree of Woe footstomp. Shanna won with a Dragon Suplex. Good match nonetheless, these two need to replace Baker and Allie in the rankings soon.

Schiavone runs down Dynamite card - It's a PPV level card for Dynamite this week. Jericho vs Scorpio Sky for the title. PAC vs Omega II, Cody returns, and Page vs MJF for the DD Ring

Marvez by the Numbers - Marvez ran down some random numbers to talk about the matches that Schiavone already told us about. Waste of time.

Awesome Kong w/Brandi Rhodes vs "The Librarian" Leva Bates w/Peter Avalon - Squash
Leva tried, but quickly took the Spinning Backfist and the Soul Collector (Awesome Bomb) from Kong for the loss. After the pin, Kong took out Avalon and claimed Bates' hair.

AAA Megacampeonato
Kenny Omega (C) vs Jack Evans - 7.5/10
This IS the first title defense in AEW Dark. Good match, considerably slow and grounded given the players. Story here was that Omega was better, he worked over Jack's back, but Omega would constantly get thrown back by Evans' unorthodox style of attacks and counters. Omega was never in trouble and we all knew he was winning, so the match did feel like it dragged at points. Omega won with the One Winged Angel.

This match had a 60 minute time limit and it actually pushed the show time 15 minutes past the usual hour.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Good show for Dark, mostly worked with building records. Spears was good on commentary, but not heel enough IMO.

There were some issues with the audio in this show, it's like they were playing another match in the background and you could hear the bumps.
