Dave Meltzer in WON wrote:The death of Bruno Sammartino on 4/18 was the result of multiple organ failure due to heart issues, which ironically and unknowingly to him, dated back to his childhood.

When he nearly died due to rheumatic fever at the age of 12, it damaged a portion of his heart. Through a lifetime of training, he was able to build up the get the non-damaged part of his heart so strong that it compensated for the damaged portion and he was never aware of an issue until recent years.

This is something that WWE has been guilty off before. Apparently the Indian broadcast table are not natives and so their Hindi is not proper and comes off terrible to native Indian fans

In this case, though, isn't that part of the heel shtick? They added lyrics in Japanese so non-Japanese speakers can't sing along and got non-native speakers to sing and write it to piss off natives.

that's giving them too much credit, it works but i highly doubt it was their intention

You're probably right. It wouldn't even have occurred to me if not for Graves' explanation on Smackdown.

If I could capture the essence of what WWE commentary is in 2018 with one quote, it would be this:
Michael Cole wrote:Hey, guys! Remember back in 2008 when Hornswoggle made history by being the smallest person ever in the Royal Rumble?
The awkward verbal style, the obsession with "making history," the attempt to make something so unmemorable out into being a world-changing moment that will be remembered for generations. It's all here in this one quote.

Haha! Ciampa blocked WWE Network for wishing him a Happy Birthday...

He might be my new favorite person...

As somebody else pointed out, Vince most likely isn't ~worried~ about All In, nor should he be, but they do like to have all thier bases covered, this being one of them.

Or, it's just a tweet from an unreliable source that has a "reliable source"...

Also mentioned was "...would they really release anybody you'd WANT to see at All In?..." which got me thinking...

with the TV dealings going down, i don't think they cared to look into cuts right now nor it would look good. Now that they have all that extra money, they can literally just keep everyone and hire half of the indie scene to cement their monopoly

In 2012 Triple H reached out to Dusty Rhodes' right hand man for a list of talent he should sign. When asked about Steen he replied that "he pushed for them every time they spoke".

Crazy to see the list now. I know the Briscoes and Omega turned him down, and it's funny that everyone else in the world can see Colt Cabana's worth EXCEPT WWE...

Wrestling Observer Newsletter wrote:Dominion comes five days after Takahashi beat Taiji Ishimori in the finals of the 2018 Best of the Super Juniors tournament at Korakuen Hall. It was not only the best match of the tournament, but one of the best matches I’ve ever seen. Emotionally, physically and mentally, it would be in the handful of matches, five so far, that I’d give ****** to. The only negative is not wanting to reward too much dangerous activity as Takahashi has such a lack of looking at his future, which makes him incredible today, but pro wrestling is a marathon, not a sprint.
Here is Dave flat-out admitting that he will mark a match down if he thinks it's too dangerous.

I can understand the reason he's doing it, his ratings got to big for their own good.

But aside from that, I have previously marked down a match if I think someone is injured and the wrestlers are being unsafe (i.e. Janela vs Great Sasuke as of late)

A dangerous match should be marked out down because getting permanently injured or worse obviously isn't the point.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter wrote:Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula criticized the Grand Sports Authority and General Entertainment Authority for spreading moral degradation and rejecting Islamic ideals and cited the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble show as an example of sin. I mean, the commentary was, but still. They complained about the ring outfits being obscene and that foreign wrestlers were exposing their privates. I guess exposing has a different meaning in different countries
