BRM's thoguhts on the 12/30 Impact (crap)

TNA promised that they were going to have an amazing 2011. Well... after this show... there is nowhere for them to go but up.
1. The opening segment was great, but Jeff making matches didn't make sense. Bischoff should have been the one to come out and do that.
2. More stupidity with EY and OJ.
3. Tonight there will be a random strap match between Velvet and Sarita. This pisses me off SO MUCH! First of all, there is no need for a stip here. Second, the stip doesn't make any sense in this feud. And finally, if you are going to have this match... AT LEAST ADVERTISE IT! It can't get you ratings if people don't klnow it is happening!
4. Chris Sabin (w/Alex Shelley) vs. Bobby Roode (w/James Storm)- 6/10. Starting off Impact with a good match.
5. Good promo by RVD
6. More stupidity with OJ and EY, but Shark Boy made it acceptable.
7. RVD comes out to the ring and cuts the same exact romo that he cut backstage. So why have him cut the promo backstage?
8. RVD vs. Robbie E (w/Cookie)- No rating. Short, but it was supposed to be. This mach did it's job perfectly.
9. Kaz cuts a possibly offensive promo but pretty good heel promo about Jay Lethal.
10. During his promo, while listing Jay's family members, Kaz forgets Jay's brother Mohamed. You remember him, right? The one who got jumped by Flair back in the Spring?
11. The segment with Flair, Bishcoff, and Foley in Bishcoff's office was dumb. It didn't do anything at all for the show, and just told us what we already know.
12. Strap match: Velvet Sky vs. Sarita- 3.75/10. First Taz tell us the wrong rules. Then Sarita touches the last corner without the strap on her wrist. Otherwise, this wasn't too bad, aside from the length.
13. The we get even more stupidity from the EY and OJ party, this time involving Kendrick, as well as Shark Boy.
14. YET ANOTHER backstage brawl involving the Knockouts.
15. The 2011 video package wasn't bad (aside form one part where the person speaking said "We're not superhuman," but the big flashing word on the screen was "SUPERHUMAN." That just seemed kind of counter-productive to the point that wrestler was trying to make).
16. WHOA! A British Invasion reunion!
17. Another damn Double-J-Double-M-A Exhibition. I guess that Russo and co. will keep booking this segment until someone actually enjoys it.
Jeff Jarrett vs. Amazing Red's brother (w/Amazing Red)- DUD! AN UNNAMED (the fans were chating "baby brother!") guy comes in and beats up Jarrett, thus helping NO ONE!
Then Jarrett and Bischoff try to set it up so that Jarrett can't lose anymore, which sucks, becuase it menas we'll be seeing more of these.
18. The British Invasion vs. Rob Terry & AJ Styles- 6/10. Told a good story.
19. EVEN MORE backstage stupidity at the EY & OJ party.
20. Madison's entrance was GREAT. It fit the gimmick PERFECTLY, especially her delusions of being loved by the crowd. It was a little time-consuming, but that wouldn't be an issue if TNA cut out the BS backstage sh*t from their shows.
Madison's promo was outstanding. Hell, this whole segment was outstanding (aside from Taz and Tenay trying to get their dick joke over).
21. The Pope segment was a moronic waste of time.
22. Mr. Anderson & Brother Ray vs. Matt Morgan & Brother Devon- 4/10. Was given no time or attention to tell its story. The short match did make sense with the finish, though.
Taking the camera off of the match to see Foley fight Gunnar and Murphy is fine, but they didn't need to show us Foley getting put in the handcuffs and led away for more than two seconds. THERE IS A MATCH GOING ON!

1. Taz- As you well know, Mike, Roode had, before the formation of Beer Money, an excellent singles career, correct?"
Not really, no. He mainly got embarrassed by EY and lost to Booker T. Before that he was a TAG TEAM WRESTLER.
Not to be out-moroned, Tenay follows up with
2. "Great point. Chris Sabin has been, primarily, a tag team wrestler with Alex Shelley for the better part of, well, the past five plus years"- And yet Sabin has still managed to win the X Division title multiple times during that span.
In fact, Sabin has won one singles tournament, as well as 4 singels titles in TNA, while Roode has won none. So who is really the better singles wrestler?
3. Taz- "I don't know if it was inadvertent or not, but Sarita definitely cost Velvet a lot"- You really can't tell, Taz? Do you think that Sarita attacked Velvet BY ACCIDENT? YOU IDIOT!
4. Taz- "That's one corner touched. Now Sartia's got to touch the next three in concession"- No. She has to touch the next three "CONSECUTIVELY." Touching them "in concession" would mean that, by doing so, she is givinig up... which is the OPPOSITE of what would happen if she touched them all!
Oh... and incase you thought it couldn't get worse, at the finish, Sarita touched each of the first three corners right after Velvet touched it, but managed to touch the fourth corner first in order to win the match. So Sarita only touched TWO in a row (and the ref was counting the corners for both women as they were both going around touching them) ... meaning that TAZ CLEARLY DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THE RULES OF THE MATCH!!
5. Tenay- "Amazing Red takes the trademark guitar of Jarrett and smashes it into bits!"- So what? Jeff Jarrett does the same thing EVERY WEEK! It's not some valuable piece of personal property like Taker's bike.
6. Taz- "He got caught right there in that high-collar throw"- Hey, Taz. does this sound right to you? : "My name is Taz, and I'm the Human Throw Machine..." It's a f*cking SUPLEX, you idiot! You have only had to memorize three sentences in your entire career... AND YOU FOR GOT ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT WORDS?!
