If you do 'AAA' and not bring Wagner, Psycho Circus, Faby Apache, los OGT, or La Parka among others, it'll just look like they brought the cheap version of AAA. I don't need to watch Pagano again in my life. With LU it shouldn't be that hard to book LU's heavy hitters like Matanza, Dragon Azteca, Jack Evans, Pentagon, Fenix, Mack, even Sexy Star who i don't even know if she's still with the promotion.

plus LU live shows make no sense whatsoever, so what does it matter if it doesn't follow a LU story that is on a long ass hiatus anyway.

Except that a lot of LU's non-AAA guys (especially Cobb, Pentagon, and Fenix) are likely to be in high demand that weekend, so it's not a guarantee that they'd be free for this show.
As for Sexy Star... there's no way they will book her, just from what the reaction of most of the TNA locker room would be. Plus, I'm pretty sure Callis said he wouldn't book her while the issue was being discussed on Killing The Town. As for the idea that they brought the "cheap version" of AAA... so what. That's how basically every promotion that has ever worked with AAA since 2000 has done it and no one has really cared. So long as you have some big names like Drago, Azteca, etc. people will be fine with it.

There is totally a way to make an LU house show work. You just need to make sure you book Dario (or maybe now Agent Winter) for the evening, too. You can get around the storyline issue by having matches that make sense with the current storylines but don't really advance anything (basically like what WWE does).

I would imagine the LU contract gives them first dibs, but even at the end, if AAA and Impact can't secure talent over a bunch of indies, than fuck, what the hell are they doing?

I could replace 'AAA' for LU' and make the same argument, people won't care if kayfabe stories are not being consistent with the TV as long as you bring the big names. At no point this is going to be a 'LU' show in the temple or anything, it's just a showcase.

Not saying you can't make it work, but they don't even try, so they're irrelevant shows to the canon.

so this tells me that they'll do a champ vs champ then, with Pentagon going vs Aries or whoever is champ by then. So maybe Sydal vs Fenix?

I so badly want to see Matanza (w/Dario) vs. Abyss (w/James Mitchell).

this is the main event. I don't think Eddie v Callihan will be the blow off of the feud, so Impact probably wants to keep that for one of their own shows
